Wrestling - Part 3

I feel like I've got another form of PTSD after that Rousey match. I mean like the head kick they showcased was alright, it was done properly.
It was the part where they tried Boxing each other without actually hitting each other and the part where Rousey was on top of her back and started punching Shayna's arsecheeks and the commentators called them kidney shots.

It needed to be a proper College Wrestling match or a BJJ roll. Combat sports in WWE has actually been done before and it ended up with someone getting legitimately knocked out, and it was f***ing nasty mind

Yeah, not the same really. This match with RR and SB was still worked and in that sense, it's doomed to fail. Just like when wrestling has had worked boxing matches - they hit each in normal matches now we're putting gloves on?! Daft.

The whole Brawl For All was just completely stupid and a weird watch at the time. It's been explained what they were trying to do since but att it was utterly dumb. One of Russo's shining shit moments. Poor Bart Gunn's reward for beating Steve Williams legit was almost having his head taken off in front of millions.

Collision was class, excited for Wembley. Just hoping my poor Dad I've dragged along to it enjoys it a little bit other than the beer 🤣.

This is great stuff! The Midnight Express (either mid 80s to late version) was amazing.

That main event was predictable, obvious Jimmy was going to come out and super kick Jay. Said it before, they’ve no idea how to get the belt off Roman, Jay was never going to win but there’s no one who is coming close to that belt any time soon.

Im not convinced with Jimmy turning heel like. It might turn out well, but for now feels like a twist for the sake of it.

Might be interesting if he isn’t just rejoining the bloodline and it will simply be a Jey-Jimmy feud whilst Roman now faces off with someone else with the Solo tensions rising. It has to stretch through to the Rumble, at which point Cody wins and they feud until WM

Last few Dark Side Of The Ring episodes have been very good, Bam Bam Bigelow and the bash at the beach.

This week: Marty Jannety. Looking forward to this one.

Heyman said they’re just getting started with the bloodline. Christ it’s been going on for 3 years.

Jey and Jimmy have said they want a main event WM where they face off against each other.
Fuck knows how they’re going to string it out for another 7/8 months.
Makes zero sense for Jimmy to do what he did after being bashed to bits a few weeks ago; but it was somewhat predictable.

Anyway fuck all that because WHOSE GAME IS IT

WITH EVERYBODY SAYING……

That’s all I can think they’re doing, basically a repeat of last year but actually pulling the trigger on Cody this time.

Big ask to keep it going until then like. Maybe it will be a case of the Bloodline being completely dead and buried by RR and Rhodes cutting a promo telling Reigns this time he will have to face him on his own this time. Have Reigns have a few convincing cleans wins without interference in the build up to Mania.

I reckon they're going to keep it going but it really is running out of steam now. Wasn't keen on that SS match at all. Bit ploddy and the ending was far too "swerve".

I think they're just dragging it out for The Rock to come in. It was the plan for last Mania and he was unavailable and didn't have a plan B. Cody's not the answer because Bloodline is breaking all sorts of viewership and merchandise records but the social media reaction to Sunday was overwhelmingly negative.

There's an easy way of dragging it out, there's Jacob Fatu and a brand new Fatu wrestling in the Indie's and you've got Rikishi if they're really desperate to drag it out but they kinda need to end next Mania, pay The Rock what he wants and just let it come to a naturally end.

I thought the main event of Summerslam was a one paced bore tbh. I’m not sold on Reigns’ style at all.

The timing was off for the vast majority of the women’s title match imo, and the MMA match that wasn’t an MMA match was garbage.

The rest was canny.

I’ve been watching a lot of of old WCW recently and I watched Wrestlewar 1992 last. Sting’s Squadron vs the Dangerous Alliance in the war games main event was absolutely brilliant. Fast paced, hard hitting, plenty of juice, white hot crowd, and brilliant commentary from JR and Jesse Ventura. Made the Summerslam main event look absolutely shit tbh.

That's one of my favourite matches ever! Watched it so often as a kid the tape warped!

Am I the only person who didn't like Ricochet/Paul?

I mock AEW for being too much like gynmnastics, I'm gonna do the same for WWE, Ricochet is just a ballet dancer to me not a wrestler.

The Steiners vs Fujinami and Lizuka was mint as well. They brayed the shit out of eachother!

At least their timing was spot on tbf. The women’s match was a mess timings wise for long spells imo.

I liked the women's match, nothing was overdone and the 450 whilst Charlotte was in the figure 8 genuinely looked painful.

I appreciate Ricochet is very good at what he does, but it's like he overdoes everything, back in the day when you think of a high-flyer you think Jeff Hardy, nothing he did was overdone.
