Wrestling - Part 3

What a WrestleMania!! OMFG! What just happened! I know I sound like Michael Cole but that is close to what I am feeling right now! What a world title match!! Roman Reigns get's pummeled from pillar to post for how long? Then he rallies by ramming Lesnar's head in the post and a load of Superman Punches. Seth Rollins finally decides he want's to 'cash in'(whatever that means) and even though he pins actually the challenger he somehow does win the title! Insane that he didn't need to pin the champion to become the champion but at least I saw one helluva match and at least I won't have to see that briefcase any more.

About to begin watching Monday Night Raw to see the fall-out from WM.

Seen someone on Reddit suggesting a Queen of the ring tournament (obviously, similar to the KOR concept) as a way of elevating the divas.

It'd never wash with Vince, but I think it's a class idea.

The one thing I was really hoping for was new music because he's had that shite one since he debuted and if he's really re-debuting with a new gimmick new music was essential.
100% this, don't mind Sheamus and I quite like his new look, but if you're going to do something do it properly, instead of dropping the ball, again, in true WWE style.

It's getting tedious now...

Well SBC, The Money in the Bank ladder match can feature anywhere from five to ten participants, with the objective being to retrieve a briefcase that is suspended 20 feet above the ring. The briefcase contains a contract that guarantees a match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. While active, the World Heavyweight Championship as well as ECW's world title - the ECW Championship - were options as well.

They need to fuck off all entrance themes that have loads of words. Really don't think Orton's music does him any justice, for example.

I'm sorry but it seems it's passed you all by that on the day I predicted they'd release CJ Parker, he's gone. I've amazed myself with that one.

Are people being serious when asking about the championship changing hands in a triple threat match even though the champion hasn't been pinned?
Or are they just taking the piss out of Michael Cole considering he says the rules all the bastard time?

What are people's thoughts on laziness and lack of fundamentals, particularly in WWE?

Jim Ross mentions it quite alot but it got me thinking. That Divas tag match at Wrestlemania annoyed me slightly when I noticed none of them were holding the tag ropes when waiting to be tagged in. Rope breaks in the Sting v Triple H match when its a no DQ match. Daft things like that. Do you think it's something that needs to be addressed?

I know they likely dont care but it would be nice to see the refs actually reffing matches properly and a return to things making sense.

Also, what are people's thoughts on perhaps introducing things that make the matches feel more 'real' - tale of the tape, rankings system, etc. It would be a good way to build the Divas division if they had a ranking system which helps them get over as workers rather than reality stars. TNA do it for their Heavyweight title picture and it works.

They have done tale of the tape once or twice recently but I mean more regularly. They still announce weights before matches so there's no reason why they could detail the top to bottom of a wrestler before a match while the announcer is doing their thing.

(I know there's not a chance that owt will change but it's something to talk about)

Another thing would be time limits, meaning that not every match ends as a win or a loss. It's a great way to get two faces over in the same match.

Orton's is shit like as is Ziggler's. Did Steph used to come out to 'No Chance' or did I just dream that.

I'd like the commentators to call the match a bit more instead of rabbiting on promoting stuff etc

I can't remember whose podcast it was but I remember listening to a show about six months ago and they were talking about Lana and it was noted she was asking for help with in ring training.
If thats the case I hope she gets released, divas wrestling is abysmal.

Let me ask you if you are being serious questioning someone for daring to want to know something you may not.

If you don't need to try any more why try? Senseless doing something you don't need to do. Don't do it for the sake of it. Do it because you have to do it. The WWE was pro-active in the 90's because they had to be to stay not just one step but several steps ahead of WCW.
