Had this debate in our office yesterday - I had to instigate it. It was either that or listen to them discuss which way round they stand in the shower. Honestly the patter in our place is lifting
So, would you rather:
Have a one hit wonder - but keep producing music, but only be remembered for that one song
Or
Put out a great catalogue of music but never quite hit the big time. Basically tick along in the background, but you'd still have a good following.
Essentially it's a choice between being Chesney Hawkes or The Lancashire Hotpots
Either way you'd end up financially secure, so I suppose this is more about what you'd rather do
