Aye I would but I'm happy just to live here. I'd pay the rest of my mortgage off, wouldn't go mental with spending and would be able to survive on the rest.

Depends on what interest you get from it.
Too right. Even if it only grew with inflation, if I was to work until state retirement age that would give me £37k per year, the equivalent of £50k salary. The wife (no) might still have to work though!

I'd take the million. Pay off our mortage and either buy another place for us and move there, or buy several others out right, rent them out and sack off work.
Basically "work" will then become managing my portfolio, or if I get bored of that and earn enough, paying someone to manage it for me.
