Would Mowbray have won that game?

Imo, no. Felt like the back four were a bit more conventional today and the subs were spot on, as opposed to throwing on four in a hit and hope scenario.

Maybe? We’re not totally shite and would probably have got back into a groove eventually
People forgetting how well we did last season? Or how we hammered Southampton?
It’s the same coaching staff. The amount of subs is about the only difference. Weird stick to beat him with.
Hopefully the next manager will bring some fresh ideas and improve us even more but we’re still a decent team

You must have watched different games than us all?
We’ve been on a run of absolute clueless management pushing full backs into midfield and playing a gangly centre half at right back.
We’ve huffed and puffed this season.
Today underlined that we have the basis of a good side.
Proper coaching of Robert’s and Clark and using tactical game management will show what Mowbray was.
Ask ANY Blackburn fan about his techniques.
He shouldn’t have got the job in the first place.
He did exactly the job that was asked of him and for that it swayed me. Again speakman fucked up hevwas die to be replaced in the summer.
Hopefully the next move is an improvement and a building block but let’s not get all sentimental about him as a nice bloke dipping biscuits in his tea.

So what has Dodds being doing the last twelve months? 🤣

I don't think so, I think he would have started with Burstow up front. It was a bold move pushing Bellingham up top.

Enjoyed the game, I thought we played well and looked dangerous. Also restricted them to very few chances.

Bold move? Mowbray had already played Jobe upfront man
Jesus Christ

Fair chance he would have but I do think we were tweaked a smidge to play a bit quicker and more direct going forward and we were a little more robust defensively.

Jobe was playing on the shoulder of their CB's and as soon as we started dinking a couple of balls long to him to run after, their CB's started dropping a bit deeper and as a result gave us more territory in the final third.

Those passes wouldn't have been considered under Mowbray but were vital today.

No, would have been a defeat no doubts about it because Mowbray had no tactics or plan on what to do other than bring 3 subs on and hope for the best.

Not easy to tell whether we were playing well because WBA are a side who were more open than recent opponents our because we were just playing well.

We weren't asked to break down two banks of 5 opposition players but then again we weren't just giving the ball to Roberts and Clarke and expecting them to do everything.

No, bcause he'd have persisted with the nonsense of inverting FB's, clogging up the centre and allowing the opposition to double up on our biggest attacking threats out wide.

He'd have also made a triple substitution on 60-65 minutes which would have resulted in us being a disjointed mess afterwards, as has been the case for months.

He would have also brought on Dack and not Pritchard, who contributed 2 assists.
This 100%. Would probably have brought on Dack and Ba with Pritchard, and nobody would know where the fuck they were playing

He’s been not having the final say - he did today

The truth is halfway between what you are saying here and the person you were arguing with. Mowbray did a very good job for us, he has good strengths but his limitations would stop us pushing on. We did play with more urgency today and I don’t think we would have won today under him. However we are better for having him as our manager.

I don’t disagree with he did a job.
Not this year though. You suggested wouldn’t have won the game today and the last 12 games underpins his departure.
Anyway. In the past. We move forward.
