I presume all of you have not had the misfortune of trying
Carlton Midstrength
Emu Draft
(The old) Swan Gold
Hahn Premium Light
Matilda Bay
VB
Emu Export
Emu Bitter
XXXX
Absolute Toilet water these like. Drinking any of these has about as much appeal as supping a cup of week owld stale fanny batter

Horrible stuff. That Hahn should be banned.

But the only thing that I have had to tip down the sink is Kronenbourg Blanc

vast majority are much of a muchness and chilled so low thats its hard to see any dicernable difference other than what your eyes tell you by the pump it came out of or the glass its served in..

Got to be LCL, a chemical nightmare... if it is still allowed to be made that is!

Tuborg. End of discussion.

Tuborg and Carlsberg are great drinks... if they are brewed in Denmark.
The English made stuff brewed on license is shite like!

For those of you who can remember, Norseman and Scorpion. Yuk

Good call. Rank stuff!

The original UK Heineken took some beating (although the imported stuff we get now is ace).

Carling and Fosters are both shite, although the Fosters is by far the worse (production quality etc).

With the modern heavily sanitised techniques, its rare that a "bad pint" is the brewers fault - but instead the pub's. Doesn't mean there's not a lot of very bland low-grade stuff out there though.

In no particular order.

This.

Anyone who says different should do a blind taste test.

You don't have to know what something is to dislike it though.

They are all generic shit, lager/bier is mostlt crap the only ones I drink are Kronenbourg blanc, Hoegaarden, Becks or Corona and I bet you I could pick them all out of my previous list.

That's fine. I am talking about the generic big lager producers. The first two are white beers, Becks is brewed in germany and will have no crap in it but I still think you would struggle to tell the difference between Becks and a similar strength lager.

As for Corona, it's just another bland bottled lager. IMHO.

I'm with you.. people sold on marketing at the end of the day.

The Archer said:
My mate, who used to work for Carlsberg Tetley told me that Tennants and Carling are in fact the same product but under two different brand names.

Dunno if thats true, I once told a Scot the same thing and he was aghast. But there you go.

The Scots are very proud of their Tennents and believe their brand of fermented rat piss to be superior to equivalent brews of rat piss from other countries, but most of all so long as they can satisfy themselves it's better than English rat piss they will be happy.

I would drink a cold fosters befor a lukewarm Becks/Peroni or whatever people prefer.

Proper lager is stored for a few months. The generic crap made by the big brewers is brewed and sold in a few weeks.
