"Worse than O'Neill"

It's a thread comparing the opening 6 games from different managers, the trends between the two are almost uncanny.

So if you dislike Poyet/don't think he's very good, I presume you think the same of O'Neill if the trends are the same?

Interesting.

. Just add some goals to the mix and we'll be flying.......just like that.

Would you say we created nothing today? Johnson had one clawed wide first half, he was also clear on goal if Wickham had looked up,Catts had a screamer blocked that was going in, Wickham missed a great header as did Fletcher, and Vergini had one scrambled round the post. We had chances, good ones. It isn't a million miles away from "just adding some goals" as I said, we were unfortunate today and created a lot of chances playing Poyet's way.

Yes, but you defended one to the hilt and his start to the season while slating another. The irony and hypocrisy is off the charts.

Talking about O'Neill being proven better seems to excite you. You should want it to make him look like an even bigger fool and sunderland to win every game. For a sunderland fan you have some bizarre logics mate.

O Neill was poo and did poo, I will never understand the Sunderland fan infatuation with him or what his reputation was that made people think he was such a good manager. Canny at Leicester, good at Celtic, where any of us could manage, decent at Villa until he chucked his toys out when his money was stopped. MON was not the answer.

Likewise, if you dislike O'Neill/don't think he's very good, I presume you think same of Poyet if the trends are the same?

Easy this game.

It's like he's building up ammo to try and paint Poyet in a worse light than O'Neill. Unfortunately for him he's shed his load far too early.

Anyway, 77 replies and counting. OP is probably wanking into his sock.
He's done it before. When we lost to west ham he kept repeating, 'o'neill beat west ham, he was better.

He was silent after we won at Chelsea and man utd obviously.

He's admitted it's a poor/disappointing start. You won't admit hypocrisy though.

O'Neil was shot mate, he took us for a ride. The place turned in to a holiday camp. Forget him and get behind Gus. he may not have them playing the way we want but he has the players working hard for him.

You are doing exactly the same but the other way round.

Is that an admittance?? Looks like you've been rumbled sunshine.

And read my posts earlier r.e. Poyet. You've blown your load too early, better luck next time.

Our pool of strikers by Appearances and goals.

Graham 12 (0)
Altidore 33 (1)
Wickham 42 (6)
Fletcher 48 (14)
Total 135 (21)

Our four forwards signed by other people that Gus is having to work with because no one else wants to take them. When you consider the majority of Fletcher's and Wickham's goals were scored in two very short bursts that makes it even worse.

Have I? As I said, show me where I slated O'Neill at this point in the season. You saying it doesn't make it true. Show me the facts.

If you're really insisting that you never slated O'Neill until one month before he was sacked(as per your earlier post) then I'll just leave you too it. I know and you know, that you're talking complete bullshit. I can't really be arsed searching through thousands of your posts at this time of night but I'll make a point of looking when I've got more time if it makes you feel better.

To be fair you could add Scocco to that list as he was Poyet's signing. No longer with us though which suggests he was even worse than the four listed.

Gus is the right man for the job in the long term.We definitely should stick with him.Hope he s here another 5-10 years.

The Everton cup game and chucking away a 3-1 lead at Man City a few days later seemed to scar O'Neill looking back. In his first few months we played at a high tempo, rarely allowed opposing teams time on the ball without putting them under pressure and looked to counter at pace. After that, it was just all-out defence for the most part, his commitment waned and we all know what a shambles things turned into behind the scenes.

They would have ran through walls for O'Neill though. Would love to know which player actually had the gall to come out with that.
