Worrying performance

Mate, we created three chances and there keeper didn't have a save of note to make. At home. Against Fulham. Who came for 0-0. Dress it up how you like, but we certainly weren't the attacking visionaries we're being painted as on here. Again, I stress I don't think it's worth panicking or anything yet, there were positives - however, unreal the amount of people on here who are seemingly elated with a 1-0 defeat at home against Fulham.
Well if you think their keeper didn't have a save of note to make , clearly you are either blind or stupid , you will be lucky to see abetter save all season dimwit.

We certainly aren't however i think you've gone the other way in your op as I've not really read much today that would be anywhere near elation.

Most have said that there were positives (as have you).

Unreal as in non-existent? The ball-crunching defeat seems to have provoked elation only among our resident doom-mongerers. We looked promising in parts and showed enough that, with the necessary reinforcements, we will become a much better side than last year. The problem is that we will need to be - because thi9s year the general level is much higher.

p.s. the save from Celustk's half-volley was quite meritworthy.

Yeah, fair play about the Celustka half-volley save, forgot that as was talking about forcing the goalkeeper to make an actual save from a proper created chance. We can't rely on screamers.

I realise I'm sounding hugely negative, and I don't intend to; I just feel that we're not quite the side everyone else seems to feel we are.

I don't think anyone thinks we are a good side yet - but the general feeling is that we've started on the right track. By Sept 2 we will have made a couple of additions and fletcher will be back (I don't count on Wes Brown though) and I'm sure we will be a good side by October. The revolution has only just begun and the journey will be full of setbacks - yesterday was just one. Patience, keep calm and we'll enjoy watching Sunderland one day.

It appears I was right to be concerned. We are absolutely woeful.
Windows still open mate. It's been three games. Keep your triumphalist self-referecning praise on hold for a bit. Nothing to declare but your genius eh.

Mate, barring a mad last gasp trolley dash we look shocking. Seriously, I cannot imagine how we can stay up; our defence is shambolic, our midfield is weak as piss and completely powderpuff and our attack is painfully blunt (Fletch aside).

I thought we may struggle, but by god we look deep, deep in trouble.

Altidore, Fletch and Giacherini and AJ are all plenty good enough, they just never get the ball. Defence is alright but they have no protection. A proper midfield would protect them and build a platform for the attack and we'd be transformed overnight. Without that we'll be in trouble. We'll get better, it's only 3 games in, but what's needed to make us stay above relegation is a midfield. We essentially don't have one at present.

The thing that concerns me, that I didn't forsee first posting in here, was that PDC is being very erratic in his choices and at lot of his decisons seem ego driven. He has not shown the critical distance required of a manager in the PL. He needs to learn that fast.
