Tomorrow's CAF qualifying matches if anyone is bothered (the games that matter anyway)

Group A
South Africa Vs Botswana (Sat 2.30pm)
Central Africa Republic Vs Ethiopia (Sat 2.30pm)

A point against already eliminated CAR will see Ethiopia through to the play-offs. If Ethiopia fail to win, South Africa will top the group with a win. If Ethiopia lose, Botswana will top the group with a win. The Ethiopians are favourites.

Group B
Tunisia Vs Cape Verde (Sat 7.45pm)
Tunisia through with a draw, Cape Verde must win. Sierra Leone and E. Guinea are eliminated.

Group C - Ivory Coast through to play-off stage

Group D - Ghana through to play-off stage

Group E
Burkina Faso Vs Gabon (Sat 4.30pm)
Niger Vs Congo (Sat 4.30pm)

Congo in the driving seat and a win at already eliminated Niger will see them advance. If they fail to win, Burkina Faso will advance with a draw. Gabon must win and hope Congo lose.

Group F
Nigeria Vs Malawi (Sat 4pm)
Malawi must win, Nigeria just need to avoid defeat. Namibia and Kenya are already eliminated.

Group G - Egypt through to group stage

Group H - Algeria through to group stage

Group I
Cameroon Vs Libya (Sun 3.30pm)
Libya must win, Cameroon just need avoid defeat. DR Congo and Togo already eliminated.

Group J
Senegal Vs Uganda (Sat 8pm)
Senegal just need avoid defeat, Uganda must win. Angola and Liberia already eliminated

Watching Chile, they are f***ing class. When Di Canio first took over, I thought we were going to play a bit like them. So good going forward. Bit shaky defensively, but very tenacious in the tackle and they play a high-pressing game.

Mexico's plan of bore-drawing their way to the finals comes unstuck as they lose 2-1 at home to Honduras. They've got USA away next anarl,

Honduras now look favourites to nab the third automatic spot behind Costa Rica and the USA. Unfortunately Panama could only draw at home to Jamaica, a win would have put them above Mexico and given them a great chance of the play-off spot.

Aye some poor results last night. Argies, Chile and Colombia all secure their place. Looking very much now that Uruguay and Ecuador will battle it out for 4th and 5th with Venezuela and Peru pretty much out following their defeats. Ecuador play Uruguay next month in a key match (but they are at home) although they do have 2 away fixtures remaining.
Costa Rica and the USA should be OK. Massive chance missed for Panama (as you say) - they are still unbeaten at home, but poor away and they have to go to Honduras and Mexico in their final 3 games so would need a minimum of 4 points there, probably 6 (not going to happen). If Honduras beat Panama on Tuesday, Mexico will be in massive danger of missing the 3 automatics

N

Not sure about altitude mate, but if you look at Peru's home record in comparison to their away:

H
P6 W4 D1 L1 F7 A3 PTS13

A
P6 W0 D1 L5 F5 A14 PTS 1

Big difference there - it's the same for most.

Uruguay
H
P6 W3 D3 L0 F15 A 7 PTS12

A
P6 W1 D1 L4 F3 A14 PTS4

Uruguay actually wont heir last match 0-1 in Venezuela which was a bit of a surprise at the time. It's weird how it works, Ecuador have won 6 and drawn 1 of their 7 games at home while away they have drawn 2 and lost 3 from their 5.
Bump! I think Uruguay have a tough finish to the group so they really needed to win today that was my reasoning for them to win at least[DOUBLEPOST=1378546662][/DOUBLEPOST]

Would love to see Cape Verde and Burkina Faso both at the world cup they were great at ACON. Is the play offs seeded?

Aye unfortunately, so the likes of Burkina/Congo, Ethiopia etc will all be unseeded and we will end up with Ghana, IC, Cameroon etc qualifying as usual

Ethiopia through to play off. Nigeria currently 2-0 up very near FT so they will be as well. Congo currently 0-1 down at Niger, but other match is still 0-0 so atm they are still going through,

Aye, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Burkina (pipped Congo) all booked their play-off places today. Tunisia and Senegal will likely get their spots tonight, then its between Libya and Cameroon tomorrow.

Aye, I suppose at least Eurosport pick up the Asian ones. Did you see the Jordan - Uzbek match yesterday? The fans were class, means so much to them. Will tape Tuesday 2nd leg while at work, hopefully avoid the score and watch when I get back. Kicks off at 3pm.

Would like to see Mexico at the world cup, but the top 3 look all but there now, so would love to see Panama pip them for the play off spot. They play each other in Mexico next month, but Mexico have 2 tough away games to come.

A
out of the 3 remaining games, 2 are away to USA & Costa Rica, who top the group. Play Off at best for them
Aye top 3 look shoe-ins, will likely come down to Mexico Vs Panama for 4th place, unless Panama can get an unlikely away win in Honduras on Tuesday. 4th place plays New Zealand over 2 legs.
