Working on Christmas Day

Done it plenty down the years, took a stance after our second child that I tell the companies I join that Christmas and two weeks in the school holiday period I will have off, no debating this. None have said no and to be fair none have moaned when the time comes around.

Yep cattle to feed and bed. Calves to feed That takes a bit of time. Not too bad tho. 3 hours on a morning if everthing goes ok (no frozen pipes , broken troughs etc.) and half hour check around on the evening.

Awful way to talk about the family mind ;)

I don't mind it. It's meant to be an 8 hour shift but you go home after about 3 hours of watching telly. Triple time too so win win. Still get to do the present opening then go to work and be home for the queen's speech then make dinner

I'm working this year, normal day out here and the wife and kids are visiting my mother in law in taiwan and not coming back until evening of the 25th so may as well go to work and save a days holiday, quite looking forward to it strangely
