I still cannot get my head round this Tahir business. Why were we playing two games in less than 24 hours hundreds of miles apart ? It’s professional sports ffs people pay good money to watch it so surely they expect the players competing to be at a reasonable level of fitness and alertness. To finish a game at 9.30 get showered changed go home, set the alarm and face a minimum 4 hour car journey at the hotest time of the year with peak holiday tragic and expect players to perform is bonkers .Loads of days this summer with no cricket so why?

Because the public want Thursday and Friday night cricket mate.

This isn't on the scale of the 80s and 90s when players were expected to do the same journey for a 1030 start.

Hope he gets his wages docked.

Worcester on a Friday in the summer holidays I'd probably say 5-6 hours. As mentioned earlier it's ludicrous scheduling on top of the 4.30pm start. Little surprise given the clowns who run the game. That all said our travel plans sound hideous
