Depends how bad it is. Your friend could do it themselves. However, if its really bad, that price does not seem excessive, if done by folk who know what they are doing.

That doesn't sound a lot to me. Depends whats involved though.
Is it just spraying stuff, or is there already infected stuff to be replaced ?
If the latter, it sounds very cheap. I'd always be very wary of work done that cannot be inspected by the customer. Getting a few quotes is a fairly decent guide. Though not often done.
