It is ridiculous but I'd always question why a pregnant mother would start a fight.

This is a country where if you go to burgle a house and your mate gets shot you can get the death penalty for his murder.

Pro life always. Bet youd want her locked up sharpish if she got preggers without being vaccinated and the bairn died ;)

It's an interesting one like, sounds like she's gone out of her way for confrontation, which is obviously a f***ing stupid thing to do when pregnant. Don't think that should mean she gets charged though, especially when the shooter isn't being prosecuted. You'd think losing your baby would be enough of a punishment mind

No, actually the exact same set of laws apply. The alabama accomplice law.

A year or so ago a teenager was charged with murder when a police officer shot his friend when they were committing a robbery.

That's a law of Alabama.

Since unborn babies now have protections it seems this is the same. She started a fight, her baby got shot. Under accomplice liability she is being held responsible for leading to the death.

It's ridiculous but its absolutely not a different set of laws, it's the same principle as the accomplice liability law.
 
surely the shooter should at least be done for wounding with intent or attempted murder or something

otherwise its saying if you get into an arguement its fine to shoot somebody as long as you didnt start it and they dont die
