My (Irish) brother-in-law & his wife moved to Canada about 10 years ago. They had a 'gender reveal' party a few years ago when she got pregnant. & they quite often use the term 'suck it up'. Presumably, that's another way of saying deal with it.

They've obviously been radicalised.
