The way he talks about the break and his family you wonder if something's going on and he just wants to spend a bit of time at home. Not suggesting anything sinister, may just be that he thinks he's missing his kids growing up.

TBF his runs in the team have often been interrupted by injury and at least some of the times on his return after injury he's taken time to recover his form.

Already made a lot of money playing IPL previously and is centrally contracted.

Not like he's a pauper. Clearly the type of player that will land a coaching job at the very least when he retires.

Reads like he wants to spend a month or so with his family before the English season gets under way.
