did it work for you though? I did it and as usual the cable ties split and fell off after a couple of spins

We’ve got a battery mower, strimmer and hedge trimmer. The strimmer and hedge trimmer are very good. The lawnmower struggles with long or wet grass, not as good as a petrol, buts it alright for general use. We’ve got 2 batteries thankfully, it’d be a pain with just one.

They are awful. Last about 10 minutes before they start running down. I had 3 Black and Decker ones. One conked out altogether and the other two barely held their charges long enough to do the edges of the lawn. Next one I get will be a wired one that can be used with an extension cable.

Don't know how long they last but my lawn isn't massive so I can get the full lawn done with it on 1 charge

I'm sure my strimmer could also be used for mountaineering as when I use it the cable gets snagged on anything and everything. Be no chance of falling to your death if you had that with you
