Mountain equipment citadel , best belay jacket you can get , wear a t shirt under it at -5 as long as you move about a bit .

Unless you’re actually attempting Everest just grab yourself an old M65 combat jacket with a liner. Will do the job nicely. Apart from not being light weight. Not entirely waterproof either to be honest.

My winter coat cost about £100. Couldn't tell you what brand it is, picked it up from Go Outdoors a few years back (Might have been reduced from £150 iirc)
It's lovely & warm. Not sure it's entirely waterproof, but I've never been out in rain heavy enough to penetrate the inside. As I don't make a habit of walking about in monsoons, it's not an issue.

Around this time last year, I think I slagged Canada Goose off to you. About a month later I bought the wife a £700 Canada Goose coat and she loves it
Not my thing though. I’ll stick to Barbour and Stone Island

Must admit, I’ve seen a couple of their jackets recently I really like (the jumpers are smart as well). The wife loves hers, but she is always cold, so Canada goose is ideal
