If we win on Monday with our fixtures after that being...

Wolves (a)
West Ham (h)
Fulham (a)
Bolton (h)

I am going to start getting carried away with our chances this season.

If Citeh lose tomorrow and we win 5-0 we go 4th aswell

or am I gettin too carried away

Before we start getting ahead of ourselves this is Sunderland you know.

Now to take my pessimistic hat off, bar United away we have what looks to be a cracking set of fixtures from now until the end of the year, haway the lads.

This thread is asking to be bumped on Monday night. I hope the players aren't taking a very good Everton team as lightly as some of our supporters are. Smacks of arrogance.

Actually our home record should show that we are capable of beating everyone at home, that's not arrogance, just a fact.

Doesn't mean we think it's going to be an easy game.

Wolves (a) Away win
West Ham (h) Home win
Fulham (a) Draw
Bolton (h) Draw

All look like games we can win, but Fulham away a point is a decent return and Bolton look a very decent side this season i`d expect us to take at least 7 points from those games.

We have got a very good home record, so did Chelsea til last weekend.

We've played Birmingham, Man City, Arsenal, Man Utd, Villa and Stoke at home, Chelsea have played West Brom, Stoke, Blackpool, Arsenal, Wolves, Fulham and Sunderland at home.

Our home record this season is far more impressive taking into consideration teams played.

I agree, 7/8 points would be a very nice return from those. Depending if we win/draw against Everton it would put us on 29/30 points. Very tasty.

Chelsea had scored 39 consecutive goals at Stamford Bridge without reply from March this year, and had been unbeaten in 8 months at home. I think you might find that covers just about everyone. Records are there to be broken.

Villa, Bolton, Stoke and Wigan are the teams they beat at the end of last season and are included in that run.

Fuck Chelsea, we have every right to be confident no matter who we play at home as it's the middle of November and we have lost once in the league at home in 2010.

Who mentioned getting carried away?!

Simply pointing out the facts to emphasize what a bizarre league it is across the board. We could quite conceivably win on Monday and if anyone had suggested we could be 6 points off top after 14 games at the start of the season they would have been sectioned.

Bizarre year tis all

It certainly is a bizarre season, but I always start getting apprehensive when things are going well, as the SAFC rollercoaster tells me were in for a surprising dip at some point.

Previous seasons would see us struggle in these games, as we know. However this season we have done well overall and outplayed/matched some decent teams. We're also scoring more goals. Rationally, you'd expect us to get a decent points haul from this set of games.
