Wilson Isidor - compendium thread

That would become an issue if the option to buy was taken up and it would be hard to argue that any transfer fee is assisting the war effort or enriching sanctioned individuals. Also the player isn't a commodity so there may be an exemption or license clause within the sanctions regime that protects his human rights.

Personally, I think signing him would be a PR disaster and it would be interesting to see how the fans taking a moral stance against the mags Saudi deal will react to this. If they're not just a bunch of envious hypocrites, I'd expect them to let their feelings be known every time he touches the ball.
Second paragraph is perhaps the most ridiculous statement I’ve read on here. Comparing a French fella to a despot regime that enforces child marriage, murders people who refuse to tow the line, is homophonic, racist and misogynistic, really? Calling people who refuse to slaughter a French footballer an envious hypocrite is way beyond all reasonable thought.

If you could provide a list of nationalities, along with the French, we should abuse it may be helpful.

From where? Which are unlisted banks that a UK bank would transfer money to on our behalf under the current financial sanctions regime?
I don't know about stuff like that but can imagine KLD being a Swiss national and his Mam being Russian there will be a way to transfer money

It isn't no, but it doesn't make it right mate.

The t shirt you'll have on now will be from some sweatshop in Bangladesh man. You could pretty much take fault with everything around you these days. The world is built on the powerful standing on the weak...that's just life.

You'd be cold, hungry, homeless and probably dead in a very shirt time, if you decide to take a stand against everything that's wrong in the world today.

Anyway, this is about a French striker, who looks like he'll score goals for us, and if that's the case, then Ignorance is bliss.

Can't be into Gazprombank as they are sanctioned. But sending the money to Zenit, owned by Gazprom, with most of Gazprom's management personnel on the sanctions list, is a loophole. Apparently.

Easy this man.

I've been defumed by this informative post. Spasibo.

I'm pretty sure they are owned by Gazprom, who are Russian state owned as a majority. All profits made by the Gazprom corporate family will be pumped back into the Russian war machine. I would like to club to avoid any deals with them. Nothing against the player. Just funds going to the parent club.
Yes, I would much rather money was pumped into a corrupt Ukrainian war machine
