Sell up if we don't get promoted? The club is still losing money despite their David Cameron-esque austerity measures and will never be in the black in this league, unless they regularly flip our beat players for a profit each season.

I think they might just think 'well we aren't prepared to spend the money needed to get over the line, but we can sell up now for a tidy profit', considering they have some good assets on the books and bought the club for just a few million in League 1.

Club values are inflated right now with seemingly every man and his doge wanting one. Just look at Ipswich selling a 40% stake in the club for £105 million, to see the type of profit our owners could make. Bear in mind Ipswich were in 3rd place at the time and not guaranteed promotion. They were fresh out of league 1 and I don't think had as many young valuable prospects as we do, plus their infrastructure is not half as good as ours.

Speaking of Ipswich, their owners invested in the January window to ensure they got over the line and promoted, ours didn't.

I think if we don't get promoted someone will put a bid in for us, seeing how close we are to the premier league and that we just need some investment to buy a few established players, investment our owners aren't prepared to make.

I would be happy with a hedge fund/private equity firm, or even Jeff Bezos. I just can't take anymore time in this tinpot league, watching absolute negative dross, with owners who seem to think the wage bill league table is more important than the actual league table.
