Will the owners..

Sell up if we don't get promoted? The club is still losing money despite their David Cameron-esque austerity measures and will never be in the black in this league, unless they regularly flip our beat players for a profit each season.

I think they might just think 'well we aren't prepared to spend the money needed to get over the line, but we can sell up now for a tidy profit', considering they have some good assets on the books and bought the club for just a few million in League 1.

Club values are inflated right now with seemingly every man and his doge wanting one. Just look at Ipswich selling a 40% stake in the club for £105 million, to see the type of profit our owners could make. Bear in mind Ipswich were in 3rd place at the time and not guaranteed promotion. They were fresh out of league 1 and I don't think had as many young valuable prospects as we do, plus their infrastructure is not half as good as ours.

Speaking of Ipswich, their owners invested in the January window to ensure they got over the line and promoted, ours didn't.

I think if we don't get promoted someone will put a bid in for us, seeing how close we are to the premier league and that we just need some investment to buy a few established players, investment our owners aren't prepared to make.

I would be happy with a hedge fund/private equity firm, or even Jeff Bezos. I just can't take anymore time in this tinpot league, watching absolute negative dross, with owners who seem to think the wage bill league table is more important than the actual league table.

Well

I’m sure there’s loads of rich suitors who want to buy us 🙄

I don’t see it. Next season will be year 5 of the five year plan?

We’ll sell two or three for comparatively big money and hope to improve the squad sufficiently to have a better chance of promotion next time.
Do we think that's likely? I think its doable if you reinvested in a couple of really good additions with the money from one but unfortunately they'll want the wages and we won't pay it.

The other problem is when we sell a player, we have to use about 40% of it to go towards the running costs before we even get to reinvesting it.

I dont think he will sell if we dont go up unless it gets toxic, which I dont think it will.

Get to the playoffs and its still a good season after the total debarcle last season.

But if we stumble into the playoffs with poor performances and dont win them, then there has to be learning that the youth policy needs significant adjustments.

And often a significant percentage goes to their previous club.

Any sales have to be replaced with players that can come straight in maje an impact. We won't have the luxury of being able to buy someone and gove them a year to settle in.

I don’t think KLD will sell up fully, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sell a small stake and sartori sell his. All for it if it’s the right person/group with ambition.

We’re 4th? Not 4th off bottom

There's not many clubs that can go from promotion contenders to looking shitter than clubs in the relegation zone in a matter of months, of course we would do that.
