Will Still (managerial suggestion)

The fact the french league breaks for winter next week remains interesting. Completely hypothetical - but if he was coming after they broke for winter, then al of these quotes of his would totally align with that.

That’s not what he’s said. He’s done the old “yes there’s interest, but as of today I’m the storms manager and my focus today is on preparing for the next game”.

Basically what any manager anywhere says, when they’re in a job but looking at another job.

Will Still speaks with humor about the rumor that he contacted the leaders of Sunderland to sign there:

“I cannot deny the fact that there is interest in me, I confirm that. As there has been in the past, like this summer and like in recent weeks.

I find it quite flattering without being arrogant at all or without being pretentious. (...) But for now and today I am the coach of Stade de Reims. I am still the coach of Stade de Reims. This is what I can say about it. For me it stops there.

Monday I went to London but I went there to see my girlfriend who is English and lives in London. I think I'm a loyal Eurostar customer because I've been going back and forth every week for three or four months. If the Eurostar people hear me, I would like a loyalty price because I often take the Eurostar to go to England.

My intention is to concentrate on the Lens match and try to win it. Then concentrate on the Le Havre match and try to win it then try to finally take advantage of some time off and come back after the break to try to qualify for the Coupe de France. This is my intention and desire today.

I knew that at the slightest opportunity people would try to change my image or try to make me look like a mercenary. This makes me laugh more than anything else. It's like saying I was going to send my CV to Manchester United because Erik ten Hag is under pressure. I know I'm stupid and I'm not the smartest, but I'm not that stupid."
If there is any truth in the rumours that Will Still is our main target, he is trying very hard to make it look loyal to his current club. Those of us who remember Alex Neil departing should be able to understand why he is doing that.

For what it’s worth, the longer this drags on, and the more I see coming out in the press, the less likely it sounds that he is coming here.

He could have quite easily put an end to the speculation but he didn't. What he said was very carefully worded.
Maybe wishful thinking on my part but still hopeful it might not be dead in the water.
Wishful thinking, why?
I bet you knew nowt about him, like the majority of us 😉😂

Why on earth not ask them? 😀
I swear some of our fans are from another planet. Whether or not its accurate, I've no idea how you'd end up shitting your britches over something so normal.

Our receptionist has an informal veto & IMO it's a great idea. Just a quick check in with the people that will work with them every day. Doesn't matter if you can smash an interview, if you've been rude at the front desk you're not the ideal candidate.

Simple rule in business:
Never employ a ****
Covers all bases when you think about it.
I’ve employed a few and it always ends badly.some of the worst are those that manage upwards and treat less senior staff or support staff like shit. You don’t want anyone like that
