Will Still (managerial suggestion)

You would hope the latter, however i think it’s been well documented that the club want a young, progressive coach.

They also seem very rigid when it comes to this sort of stuff as well. You've only got to look at their ethos on the playing side to see that.
I'd be happy enough with progressive. This next appointment seems vital to get us up to the next level. I wouldn't want to discount good candidates on the basis of age.

No neither would I! For me the age of the coach means absolutely nowt especially given their usual shelf life!

It’s whether the club also see things that way that is a worry as we do seem very rigid when it comes to profiling.

There's a bit of a myth with the hype about Still. Yes guided Reims on a long unbeaten run on his arrival but he also managed them through 1win and 7 defeats at the end of last season. He has no experience of English championship football. His appointment would be a massive risk.

He has them in the Europa spots this season though and you’ve got to factor in they were in the relegation zone when he took over last season.

That’s some progress that, mind!

Dodds might be viewed as the long term coaching bedrock ... the infrastructure each manager has to work with.

That builds continuity ...

By prompting him as manager that means its exposes him to fan backlash and the sack. This destroying that bedrock
Agreed. It massively puts a valuable coach at risk. If he’s properly installed, it’s unlikely another head coach will want him around later down the line
