Will Still (managerial suggestion)

Anyone costing compo will not be coming here imho esp when cheap out of work lads like Heck and Eustace are available
We could have appointed either of those, or the Swedish bloke by now if that's the case. Personally I think they want Still. We'll probably find out soon how far they got down the line. If it's a non starter, then it'll be Dodds in an interim role imo.

This. They've proven they won't just rush into signings etc and it's probably the same for a coach. They'll wait till the summer if they cant get anybody they want.

Dodds has done them a favour tbh and bought alot of time

Hes leaving in the summer anyway, widely reported his club are planning for that.
He'll probably have more options then and be able to negotiate better terms for himself if there's competition. We've maybe just chanced our hand a bit with our approach then.

Then why come over here for talks if he is leaving anyway? Where is he going like? Contract is until 2025 isn't it?
Read the reports from today. He has an exit clause in the summer and Reims are expecting him to go then.

He might have seen what we had to offer, but to me he's likely to get a good job in the summer with how high his stock is. It always looked a long shot to me that he'd drop to the championship right now.

If it was only down to compo then I'd have expected to hear something today/tonight. Instead the reports seem to be getting colder.

Still think he'll join next Thursday when the French winter break starts. Just doesn't want to leave Reims in the shit for their next 2 games, when they've got a 3/4 week break to get sorted after.

So in summary we want Still. He is interested enough to have met us. His club aren’t very happy.
Sounds like a fairly standard set of circumstances for managers moving on.
Two or three outcomes- Still gets a better deal at Reimms. We agree to pay the full ( possibly now greater)compensation and he’s our new manager or we say no, Reims don’t budge and have a very unhappy manager. Time will tell.
