Will Still (managerial suggestion)

The more negative things I hear about him the less I am mad about him coming.

I think he’s going to be one of the worst things to happen to us. We need to steer clear of this bullet. A lot of what people are saying tells me he’s very politically motivated. He engineers situations to suit his own interests. I think we should be going for a more experienced English coach like Nigel Adkins or someone similar. They are a safe bet and won’t take us for a ride like Will Still is.
I genuinely think you need therapy mate. Not just saying that for laughs or a dig either. You're so negative about everything. I hope the rest of your life isn't like this, and it's just the match.

Someone suggested Adkins instead of Still because he'd be a safer pair of hands.

May have been a piss take.

Given that when Southampton gave Adkins the bullet it was seen as a terrible decision and how he had done great things to get them from League 1 etc.
They were laughed at for appointing a bloke that couldn't speak a word of English at the time.
Mind, suppose Pochetino did go on to prove that he wasn't in the same league as Nigel Adkins.

adkins has done good stuff in the lower leagues since southampton but obviously nowhere near the levl SAFC want now..

Said it previously but if this fella is available KLD and Speakman will push the boat out for him.

Given our current status/position he is their perfect appointment
I think it'll get done in the coming days. Dodds taking charge for the Bristol City game with Still taking over for the Coventry game on 23rd December. It'll take some time to iron out the finer details but I think KLD will get his man.

Also, there is no mention of Nigel Adkins in the article so must surely be fake news?
There is no Adkins "news", it's all just people taking the piss out of this whopper

I think there’s a realistic possibility we keep Dodds as interim head coach until the summer when we can get Still for less money.

We aren’t at risk of relegation so it’s a bit of a no lose situation. If he gets playoffs/promoted, the club look like geniuses. If we get playoffs and don’t get promoted, they can say it was a job well done.

The risk is we lose momentum and the possibility of promotion via the play offs this season ahead of schedule.
The risk is someone else comes in for Still.
The risk is If Still stays and somehow manages to get Champions League football he might want a crack at that.
The risk is Dodds who we want to keep at the club may be hounded out altogether if we go on a poor run and don't make the play offs.
Really believe the time is now personally.

We do shite and Still decides he doesn't want to join us - lose.

Reims do so well that Still gets a better offer - lose.

If compensation is the only reason we can't get this fella, I'll be disappointed. I'd have no problem with us spending a chunk of the Stewart money on a head coach rather than a player.
