Will Still (managerial suggestion)

All the French managers' salaries were leaked earlier this year. He's on £16,000 (not a typo, nor missing a zero).

So we would have to pay over a million probably to buy his contract out then most likely. Probably negotiating on that but I can't see us paying it somehow, not when the release clause will be much cheaper in the summer. I hope they do pay it though, someone else could come in for him also in the summer.

Even if he'd signed a deal quadrupling his current contract we could pay it up for less than 200k, pennies for this guy.

If it's true then he's going to be ours like, no doubt. Haway the Still 🤞

It's 16k per year mate, not per week

No, we’d pay less than 50 grand.

Well actually, they may want their 600 grand in fines they’ve paid too. But don’t know where they would stand with that.

Hmm. While I didn't love the sniping from Mowbray and Neil regarding transfers (given it was a job that they knowingly signed up for), I don't think the remedy is to go back to the muddled, dysfunctional version of the DoF system we had when Congerton was here. Coaches should coach IMO. There's enough work to do with that without 'putting their stamp' on the recruitment too. Making decisions like that only works when the coach is gonna be there for a long, long time. Truth is, if Still performs as well as the hype indicates, he'll probably be getting poached.
I think what it means is he has the final say in recruitment, so basically all the work will be done and they will have a shortlist and say to him “ok which do you prefer from them”. I really can’t see them tearing up the modal to suit one coach and not others. I agree he will be poached eventually but that is where we are now, it is no different with the players. BUT for him to be poached then he has to have done a gone job here. If he takes us to the Premier League and established then we have gone to the next level.

16k a year? Very much doubt that.
