Will Still (managerial suggestion)

Reading the reports it comes across like Still approached the club and may be trying to force his way out. I don’t wonder if this bloke is maybe trying to change the narrative and make it seem like he isn’t trying to force the move to make Still look better

I think Still thinks that he has taken Reims as far as he can and wants a new challenge.
He's never hidden his desire to coach in England.
I just really hope KLD can get the deal done because this appoinent is crucial to our long term goals to get out of the Championship and build a squad that's capable of playing at a higher level.

Would make sense considering Reims forced him to stay by telling him he won't be leaving with the manager who left before him unless he paid 600k out of his own pocket.

In my opinion I think this is what is happening. However he seems very switched on when it comes to the media. He might not like the reporting that the reason he could leave because of disagreements with the board even if that is the case

At least Dodds turning into Guardiola buys the club some time to think things through properly each day.

I dont think any of us are worried anymore about him covering the next game.
Dodds still has a very important role to play. He's a safe pair of hands while we work hard to get the new man in. He looks to have good working relationships with both the non playing and playing staff. Hope he remains in his current post.

How does compensation even work, If we can't agree with Reims whats stopping Still resigning and we just appoint him and give him a lumper bonus?
Still has a legally binding contract-if he breaks the xcontract their are consequences for him..he cant resign in the way a PAYE worker can-with just a notice period.

Definitely. Dodds mentioned in his press conference that he’d already prepared for the Bristol City game and possibly Coventry too, although if we haven’t seen a new man in before then I’d think Dodds will probably get the job until the end of the season.

The more negative things I hear about him the less I am mad about him coming.

I think he’s going to be one of the worst things to happen to us. We need to steer clear of this bullet. A lot of what people are saying tells me he’s very politically motivated. He engineers situations to suit his own interests. I think we should be going for a more experienced English coach like Nigel Adkins or someone similar. They are a safe bet and won’t take us for a ride like Will Still is.
