Get linked to some up of the best and brightest young names in head coaching. Then wait 100+ days for expectations to fade just enough so the fans will just accept anyone of a lower calibre with no backroom staff.....or say.

Same as they've lowered everyones expectations for next season when we're expected to be happy to finish 12/13th and plod on

It’s certainly not done to Sunderland though is it, which is what plenty have been suggesting, including doing mental gymnastics to convince themselves that him being linked to other jobs and promoted as an available manager is actually just all to hype his arrival at SAFC.
