Will Still - Lens Manager

Mine too. I do wonder if he was ever considered…

He had a contract with Forest until 2025, my guess is with the way they throw money about that he’s been on a fair wack and still being paid off them every month rather than one big payoff.

Some big jobs have came up and find it unusual that you never see him with a solid link to them or at least talks.

Would be hilarious if after all of this, the data leads back to Michael Beale being the best man for the job and is rehired 😂😂😂😂
Just him and speakman sitting on the same seats being interviewed and the rest of the club wailing away in the background screaming how the fuck has this happened??

KS”well Micks training sessions were something else and absolutely world class, and I for one have missed his charm and warmth around the place”

Up to now i've been on the Will Still bandwagon without knowing a great deal about him, probably more because the other names bandied about were uninspiring (Heckinbottom), out of reach (Cooper, Potter) or also unheard of (Svennson) etc.

Then I watched this documentary and whilst the languarge and tactics side of things is impressive and can see that working with our younger players, there are some red flags for me over his ability to handle pressure and stress. He talks about how it's difficult to maintain the same energy every day, and how hard it is. And no disrepect to Reims, who I know nothing about, they look like they're a L1 standard set-up and not on the same level as us regards size of crowds, intensity from the fans over everything to do with the club. It's like a goldfish bowl here and if he's struggling a little bit at Reims I'm really not sure if he will handle the pressure and scrutiny here.
Of course, if he does well he's got a juggenaut behind him but if he starts off poor, that juggernaut can quickly go into reverse gear. Interesting times ahead, here's hoping it works out.

Good point this mate
Wasn’t my choice Roseinor was, however he’s who the owner wants so got to get behind him I suppose
The recruitment this summer is as important than the managerial appointment
Unless they address the glaring deficiencies in the squad then anyone will struggle

Ultimately, only time will tell if he's the right man. Said a few times, I really like if it's him, he's stood his ground on what he wants to make it successful and looks like he's won. Have to say as well, as I've been massively critical of KLD, he's waited and shown compromise to get his number 1 choice. Plenty noise saying "whys it took this long" and "it's embarrassing", but he looks to have been very clear on who he wants. I'd rather it took a few weeks longer and they've got who they wanted, than rush into something they weren't. But again, only time will tell if that's right or not.

To be fair, I had the same thoughts when I watched that a while ago. My hope is that this experience will have served him well on his journey and that he will be coming in with his eyes wide open. I just hope we end up with an 'us (together him and us) against the world' mentality rather an 'us vs the manager' one.

I'm happy that we look like we are about to show some ambition as opposed to a perceived safe appointment. He has my backing. HA WAY THE LADS!!!
