Will Still - Lens Manager

Joined them, imo.

They wouldn't have announced anything in a presser unless it was 100% complete, but it will be imminent.
They literally said there’s a number of candidates and they don’t currently have the right person. They are also taking their time

To summarise rhen

Will still isn’t done at lens. No where near and the owner has said they’re not rushing because that’s cost them recently.

He’s a candidate on a list of a few.

They’re struggling financially and have to sell and may not be profitable as much this season.

That sounds very positive for us
If we haven't had an define answer from him in the next couple of days then we need to sack him off and move on, can't be waiting round and playing catch up after last seasons debacle.

We do spend as much as anyone who doesn't have parachute payments, obviously it hasn't been spent well this season.

We've not spent well for a while. Our wage structure means even if a fee is agreed, wages will hold us back.

Be interesting to see what happens with player outgoings. We've got far too many for the bench who need moving on either loan wise or permanently. Then there's the likes of Clarke who'll probably have to move on due to the club not giving him a better deal and this being his last year of getting the most money for him. Hopefully, they do a lot more with the fee from him than what they did with the Stewart/Lihadji money.

They'd look a bit daft if they said "we've got our man", if it's not 100%. I don't think any club have ever done that, and instead tend to play it coy - which they've done.

Do we really want someone who's not bought in to coming here? All of our eggs appear to be in the Will Still basket, much like they were in the Nazariy Rusyn basket when we needed an experienced striker last summer.

I don't think we have spent well in terms of quality, but our transfer spending is as high as anyone outside of championship parachute clubs and clubs that have made tens of millions in sales.

In terms of wages I reckon we just need to spend a bit more on one or two individual experienced players, but even then I reckon we are similar to most non parachute teams.

Our squad is bloated though in a few areas, but most are young so more likely to be loans.

Clarke should go for his sake, we have held onto him as long as any club can, and hopefully they can squeeze as much money out of it. Looking at the Stewart and lihadji deal they have at least proven to get good money when required.

Is he not?

People pissing their pants, all that has been happening is negotiations. It is perfectly normal. So how can we say he isn't bought into coming here?
