Will ossilating cutter cut through a door lock

I’d pick the lock. Canny straight forward really.

Obviously, would be handy if you had the skills and the equipment.

Should still be pickable. May need to drill the gate but still.

I’ve never looked into picking a lock. I have always assumed it’s the same process as how a key would work and that if the key doesn’t work, the other option wouldn’t either.

I’ll bow to your greater knowledge.

Basically our lass have fucked the lock on the front door this morning and the key is just spinning , I can get an ossilating cutter down the gap in the door will it get through the lock latch thing? Refuse to pay 120 quid for a locksmith

Screwdriver on lock, whack with hammer... EDIT hang on its a legge

Aye expect so but you might use a few metal blades

The one great skill I acquired during lockdown one. Amazon had no jogsaw puzzles left so got a lock picking set. Asked people for any old locks they had and watched a load of YouTube vids.

When the key spins on a mortise it’s typically the curtain that’s worn away. The levers can still be picked individually to let the bolt spring open. Getting at them can be difficult so drilling another hole into the lock where the gate is let’s you spring the levers and open the lock.
