It's the same thing. They only stayed up after winning a play-off last season.
The league just isn't as good, I get your point, but you will never convince me on that.

People are. But some of us disagree that it's the greatest story in football history.Keegan with Newcastle...... Oh hang on a minute.......
People will just not give Leicester any credit man.
Well we have to agree to disagree. But for me both are equally impressive. The league just isn't as good, I get your point, but you will never convince me on that.
But Leicester would earn and spend more than most other teams in the smaller leagues. Leicester spending £7m on a player is like Rostov spending £2m. Rostov would have to beat Zenit, CSKA, Lokomotiv and Rubin Kazan to the title. They aren't short of a few bob. Both are equally impressive and both should celebrated.
Wont be a shock if man Utd beat them
Another good shout. Deportivo La Coruna in Spain too. Hellas Verona in Italy.
What about in Spain and France? The top Russians can spend millions on players too. It's the same in most leagues. That's why I think Leicester, Montpellier and Rostov winning their leagues are as impressive as each others. The English clubs are all established in the richest clubs in the world, and have been for a number of years. Most of them playing regularly in the Champions league. The weight of financial advantage that they have over a team like Leicester is far greater than you will find in other leagues.
Clough broke English transfer records a few times at Derby. At Forest Shilton was the most expensive GK in world history.
The pairing of Huth & Morgan is very like the pairing of Burns n Lloyd mind you.......if Morgan had been a CF and both had been piss head nutters.
Could be there one big chance to get a big move. They could easily struggle next year and that big move is gone forever, how many times have we seen a player that's been brilliant one year and then poor the next. If a big side comes in for them they have to leave. It's easily the biggest shock IMO. People on this forum are mentioning 1 off matches (Such as Greece v Portugal Euro 2004) but Leicester have kept this up for almost 38 matches. They have beaten everyone in front of them (except Arsenal) and have done the double over some great teams (including us)
Even Ranieri man, he was a joke figure when the f***ing Faroe Islands beat Greece when he was in charge, Now he's seen as a King!
I bet Pearson is gutted as the Leicester squad is still 80% the same as before he was sacked. Kante, Mahrez and Vardy will all be interesting the best teams in the world but now they're in the Champions League - Why would they need to leave immediately?
The biggest shock is that Danny Simpson will pick up a winners league medal...How the fuck?
Fuck me.Didn't think Ipswich won it?
Already answered that. Read the threadFuck me.
We weren't in the top flight in 1973.Has to be the biggest upset for me, our cup win in 73 was huge but with a bit of luck any team in the top flight can win the cup, not the league
Cannot think of anything that trumps it, it is an obscene achievement given the way money talks in this division and the shoe string that side was put together on. When I see them lift that trophy I have to say a little of my faith in the magic of great game will be restored.![]()
That's in response to teams sitting back a lot more against us, we just had to be patient and at some point the oppo had to come at us. We were playing teams who needed wins a lot of the time, so eventually they buckled, committed a few extra men and we've get the space we needed.Your tactics seem to have changed? Gone from out scoring teams at start of season to grinding out one nil wins? (Well, until sunday!)
I know what your saying mate but there's examples in most continental leagues of smaller teams challenging or actually winning the league in the last 20 years or so. This has just not been the case in the premier league, Everton finishing 4th would be the closest there's been imo, most people thought it was nigh on impossible for ateam like Everton to win the league never mind Leicester. It's the same thing. They only stayed up after winning a play-off last season.
Said it before, if it was happening Italy it would be labelled a fix. Sky brainwashing people into thinking anything can happen in this magical league. fuck off man. city chelsea utd arsenal all under performing would be viewed as corrupt from outside this country. The likes of Borini, Defoe, Cattermole, N'Doye, O'Shea and the likes, plus an average manager will not be winning the league next season should we survive. We all know that for a fact. But I keep reading in here 'Leicester have proven it can be done', but for the likes of us, the mags, West Ham, Southampton, WBA etc it can't be done and you all know why. You all also know for a fact it won't happen.
Nigel Pearson, after about 30 games of utter shite just clicks his fingers and Leicester change over night? Then a bang average manager comes back to the hardest league in the world after years out in the football wilderness, inherits a squad tipped for relegation because of the lack of quality but manages to trounce the league? No injuries and an unlimited amount of energy in tank from a group of players literally proven over successive seasons to be poor. Yet people don't think this is dodgy. I just don't understand it.
