Will Leicester title win be biggest shock in football history?

Cannot think of anything that trumps it, it is an obscene achievement given the way money talks in this division and the shoe string that side was put together on. When I see them lift that trophy I have to say a little of my faith in the magic of great game will be restored.
You overstate that. The Premier League distribution model for its revenues is very flat.

Holland and Ajax going from a footballing backwater to a world power house in the 70's changing the way we play football.

Feyenoord winning the European Cup in 1970.

Celtic winning the European Cup in 1967 with a squad of local players.

Denmark winning Euro 92 with only 2 weeks preparation.

Greece winning Euro 2004.

Iraq winning the Asian Cup in 2007.

All cup competitions.....dont think anything compares at league level in this country

There's a bit more to this league than the TV money.
Didn't say there wasn't, was just making the point that the gap between the PL distributions to the club that gets most and the one that gets least are narrower than in any other league, and are shedloads to all of them.

biggest shock in English football by a country mile

especially the way the premier league and the money works nowadays

if they win it should be celebrated by all real fans

Agreed, to me it lets us all start to dream a little again.

Surely the Forest triumph was on a par with it.

Aye that Iraq one seals if for me ffs

Remember when there were rumours in the that their new manager would be some random former US international who had been managing that Sacramento team we lost to in our glorious preseason? Those were the days.

True. Compared to Spain or Italy to a fair split. It's more likely to happen in England. FC Rostov are doing something similar in Russia. They nearly got relegated last year but could win the league. Montpellier win the French league only spending £1.2m on John Utaka were as PSG spent millions. Don't forget Deportivo La Coruna won La Liga too. These things happen despite the big boys wanting to play by their own rules. Gives everyone hope.
