Will Grigg

I hope you're right mage, I really do hope Grigg comes good, but based on what I've seen, I just can't see it working out. It's as if he's arrived with no confidence, he's struggled for goals and now he's at a point where he's not going to turn it around. Even in pre-season with the pressure off he looks as though he has little to offer.

Arrived injured, when he played he did miss some chances. I think though he isn't getting a lot of support when we are out of possession and he keeps trying to press at least 2 full backs by himself. The result of this is he's knackered later on in the second half when we should be tearing teams apart.Anyway what do I know, just been watching Sunderland since the middle 1950's.

Not Maja ffs. He didn't want to stay. Forget him. He ain't coming back.

Based on the way we played last season, he may never get the support he needs, which by the sounds of it is the ball on a plate, so what then?

You are right marra ,not having this service not good enough stuff. So we are saying we must change everything so all he has to do is blow it over the line .Look ive said this on here before but this fella cant head, dribble, run, close down ,or link play.So give Benji a go ,at least he at 19 can do some of those things
IMAGINE thinking Kimpioka should be starting ahead of Grigg. He’s done okay Will not being able to do all those things you say, he’s career been alright like

Will Grigg's goal totals his five League One seasons prior to Sunderland ...

19
4
20
25
19

The four was with Brentford, in 2013-14, when he was sometimes used wide and often was a sub. He bounced back, didn't he?

87 goals in five League One seasons, but a few on here watched him for four months and declare, "He's shite, no touch, no movement, blah, blah, blah." So, explain just how he scored all those goals at this level, will ya?

We KNOW he arrived here not fully fit. We KNOW that after his arrival we often played a uniquely uncreative midfield pair.

And now some pan him for lack of effort in pre-season friendlies. I despair.

It's never a sure thing with strikers, some do suddenly lose the plot. But it's a hell of a lot more likely he'll find form again and be closer to 20 goals than 10.

The more I see if him he actually looks worse.
Made a thread last year saying this aswell and got every excuse under the sun
f***ing useless would rather have kimpioka leading the line , or even someone out of the crowd
Obviously McNulty is in but gotta be worth a go . This Grigg bloke is totally pointless

He’s not good enough.....but yet he scored so many goals at this level. Canny wank imo
