I rest my case you hypocrite

Look at the chance he missed again

He's a shite striker another one in the piss taking party

The chance our midfield created for him was superb m

Bad workman always blames his tools

Do you know what a hypocrite is? One chance changes nowt, I've said we don't create much and you showing me one chance doesn't change that.

Well that's an absolute lie, the last game I was at prior to moving overseas was Coventry at home where Grigg constantly worked their back 4, closing them down. The nearest players were a good 20-30 yards further back from him, absolute waste of time doing that if the team aren't doing it as a whole.

Has he missed chances, absolutely, no denying that. Have we played a style of football that gets the best out of him and was he even wanted by the manager, absolutely not.

In that case why bother at all, the entire squad is shit.
     you must be watching a different game from the rest of us then

The only time I saw the real Grigg was when Power slotted it through to him against Bristol Rovers.

Our lack of creativity is criminal and it's worrying after all of this time players within our club think that there is a want for Wyke like physical presence.

Nah it's not man, look we created one decent chance once against Blackpool.

Or I don't have an agenda against him.

Yeah when they say things like “I probably should not have moved”, “At no point would I ever have wanted to leave Wigan”, “I felt like I didn’t have a choice”, “it hasn’t worked out for me.” It really makes me feel like he’s desperate to do well for us here.

Exactly.

Grigg is the embodiment of all that the Magnificent Two have achieved.

I read the article and I think he was poorly advised to do the interview now, without a new club announced (doesn't exactly make him an attractive prospect to new clubs).

But he's not wrong that we play football that is difficult for strikers to succeed in, especially since Parkinson came in. I don't recognise his description of Sunderland as a long ball club though.

Will Grigg is clearly a bit of a bellwhiff with absolutely no self-awareness but he’s spot on about our lack of creativity. We’ve had two years of bad football practice throughout the club and frauds like Ross and Parkinson telling us that the route to promotion lay in being more defensive and getting more clean sheets. We’re hideously dated in our approach.

Clearly off, unless we jettison Parkinson (unlikely, but fingers crossed). Dread to think the loss we’ll make on him.

I also strongly dispute the assumption that we all want a long ball team just because Quinny was a good player.

If this is what outsiders genuinely think then it probably explains Donald’s silly appointment of Parkinson.
Knowing the club and the fans I dispute this aswell, we always go back to the Quinn and Phillips era because we were good then, not because of the style. My favourite safc football was Poyet personally, along with the Welbeck, Gyan , Sess era under Bruce.

As a fanbase we do our best to propel the very worst of us to the front pages and as a result we are seen as regressive, long ball, 110% british plodders, shags who he wants, brexit, pissup, bring back allardyce, complete shit show. I don’t know why we do it to ourselves, maybe it is actually who we are. But to the rest of the world those are all points of shame and embarrassment. Yet another thing that needs to change before things ever improve.

Weird article given he’s still contracted to do the club.

However, I couldn’t disagree with the majority of what he says. The football has been dreadful.

If you sat near me in the ground you'd know I'm one of the most positive supporters going. No agenda I want them to do as well as poss. Sadly, over an extended period of time it's become clear that isn't going happen. The majority on here see it they don't all have an agenda either.

Whilst Grigg is hopeless, the bigger picture is what his signing ( and the Maja fiasco) show about Donald, Hill and Coton - the player was wrong, the fee was wrong and the idea of actually assessing his form, fitness and compatibility with what you might very loosely describe as 'our style of play' was something completely absent from any consideration by the aforesaid clowns/chancers.

Very true. Defend with 8 players, lump it to the big man, hope one of the wingers pick up the second ball. Except our big man is neither tall or strong and we rarely pick up the second ball

Good. I was just trying to sort my own thoughts out and launch a fair reply. You've done it for me.

Should also add our defenders struggle to concentrate and defend
