That FA Cup win arguably cost them their Premiership status in 2013. If you're hocked up to the eyeballs, silverware sometimes comes with a lot of risk.Factually correct of course and I’d love for us to have won a major trophy within recent years. Their sole decent trophy in their history wont count for much if/when they do a Bury mind you.
No it didn’t. We had plenty defensive injuries that year that cost us. Look at the team that won the game, central midfielders playing as wingbacks. That FA Cup win arguably cost them their Premiership status in 2013. Yup. But how many of those injuries might have been avoided without additional cup matches? And how did you do at Arsenal a couple of days after the final? All ifs and buts I'll grant you, but thats why I said, 'arguably'.No it didn’t. We had plenty defensive injuries that year that cost us. Hardly any to be fair, we had some shocking long term injuries. That’s one of the few seasons from memory the FA Cup final wasn’t after the last league game. Still wouldn’t swap it though.Yup. No it wouldn’t. We’ve been there enough. Dropping out of the Football League would be though but again, we’ve spent more time out of it too.I'm not worried about what Wigan or any other team achieved in the past. The future is where its at and I'm totally relaxed about ours. Dropping into League 1 would be devastating.
You do know all football debts have to be paid so even if they are not paid, when nee owners come in they will owe the players every penny.I think with the state of play, if the owners can’t fund the club, those players will be off like a shot for what they can get. You can’t hold an owner to ransom if they don’t care about paying wages on time. We might not have pulled up a trees as a team but there’s a lot of players in our squad who would do well amongst other squads elsewhere.
Yes of course. No players are going to wait around though are they? You do know all football debts have to be paid so even if they are not paid, when nee owners come in they will owe the players every penny.
That depends on what other people offer and what they are happy to leave on the table really. In fact it could still be left to Wigan to pay any loss in earnings after they move. Portsmouth had to do thatYes of course. No players are going to wait around though are they?
