Wigan deducted more points

It's a sad situation. Rich bastards buy club; rich bastards ruin club; rich bastards view club as an "investment" (meaning in rich bastard speak, something to either get rich from or cut loose); club employees non-rich supporters suffer as rich bastards bleed the club dry, making it poor, and then other rich bastards punish the club for being poor.

Yes, fair enough. However, it appears Man City may have breached FFP rules for nine seasons and Newcastle United may have lied when they gave assurances that the Saudi state was not really their owners. What sanctions will these two receive? Nowt is my guess. However, let's continue to punish little Wigan, Derby or Reading. Yes, its correct to punish Wigan for not paying their staff but the equivalent sanction foran City would probably be demotion to the Conference and without a doubt Newcastle's owners should be chased out. I won't hold my breath.

My daughter's boyfriend as I have said many times is a really good lad, a really good supporter and it is those people that are suffering - the true supporters. So a couple of internet loons came on here bigging it up - that is not all their supporters. i was welcomed at Wigan despite the score. It is a sad reflection that this is the state of the game

Meanwhile clubs like City with over a hundred charges march on to league/Champions league success and nothing happens. Whereas small clubs whose fans have been fucked over by questionable owners suffer

I think its difficult though, there are fan winners in the game of Bat shit football owners, not too long ago Villa were inches from going to the wall, qpr had their time in the sun and forest are currently enjoying themselves, all at the expense of some clubs who are at least trying to be semi practical.

For what its cost other clubs and the harm its done the game in general, I'd argue the punishment needs to be more severe then shown here. Doubt it'd be legal but my preference would be to give the fans ownership of the/a club in the conference.

A poorly financed club with a fan base in denial trying to act the big boys - well there you go. Now, hand over the reigns to a well run and better supported club further down the pyramid desperate to succeed ethically in the football league.

‘Ethically’ means what exactly? Some cracking word salad you’ve just posted there though. There’s a team just got into the Champions League final who you might want to shout about when it comes to ethics before you criticise the idiots in charge at ours.

Only people the blame for this at Wigan is the EFL.
How? The club was close to disappearing.

He bought the club and proved his finances. He has proved his finances numerous times since when the EFL has asked. He has recently paid players who are staying next season and not paid those who are out of contract. He's choosing to do it clearly.

What do people expect the EFL to do? Get a crystal ball?

It's such a lazy argument.

Oh, and most heinous of all, don't forget Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and ManU plotted to create the ESL thereby disabling the meritocratic football pyramid structure that none of those clubs were present to create from 1888-92.
