Why?

I’m not the reactionary type but it looks very much like the old Mick Buxton type tactics.

Deep lying midfielders inviting teams on, the forwards are isolated. We concede a good thirty yards in midfield. You can’t do that against teams that are physically bigger and more athletic than you are. It is very strange as we have talented players but the formation / tactics don’t fit with the physicality or type of players that we have.

Aye - his tactics and game management simply don't get the best out of our players. He's been here long enough that we'd see improvement, if there was going to be any.

But it's the same stuff and same mistakes as last year. Rinse and repeat.

Hopefully the new owners will have a plan that includes a better gaffer.

Why was McNulty took off?

He wasn't too chuffed about it. He had his arms stretched wide, asking why before he sat down. Why we took a lad off who was splitting their centre halves and allowing the likes of McGeady space and brought on a lump to stand with his back to goal when they were like Land of the Giants is anybody's guess.

He was carrying a knock
The kind of 'knock' you encounter in the bar at the Ramside, needs to knock the drink on the head if he wants to be a proper player, has the ability no doubt but his social life is getting in the way of his fitness is what I am hearing, he hasn't the stamina to play one full game a week never mind two in four days.
