Why the constant clamour on here to sell Henderson

All the indications are that not only do we have a real gem on hands but he is a player every other premiership club would like to sign. More importantly the lad has given no indication that he wants to leave so why all the posts about selling him replacements etc

Ii seems to me that a lot on here lack ambition for our club and see us, at best, as a mid table or yoyo club.

I just dont understand

We are realistic, if the club get an offer of 25mil+ then we'll sell, unless he then says he wants to stay but with that much money we could considerably strengthen the team.

It's a messageboard, we are discussing football stuff.

who wants to sell him like? link?

mainly people just expecting it to happen as the big boys will offer us money we cant refuse

I reckon its down to daft feckers starting threads about it!!

To be honest, I would be pissed off if any of the current squad was transferred unless a better replacement was signed first. Bruce has brought together a collection of skilled footballers who really seem to want to play for each other and Henderson is an excellent example of that.

so why no threads about how we build a side around him?

Man U have tapped the lad up and his head's been turned. If he wants to go to United, and who could blame him, then we should get as much as humanly possible for him. 25 million makes good business sense if he really does want away. Only he knows this like.

The United support think it's a done deal already btw.

Personally, I thinkit's all about business and 20m for Jordan would be good business.

Disagree, if he could be replaced for that money AND the squad strengthened with another player then why doesn't the buying club just do that?

That's because they are idiots and are lapping up the comments about Giggs, Scholes and Beckham and thinking it means something, instead of a journalist asking leading questions in an attempt to get such quotes out of him. Then they can spin it that he's a Man Utd fan and wants to join Man Utd and editing out the part of the interview where he says he's a Sunderland fan.

The first time an ITK mentioned a deal had been done on redcafe was in September.

Edit it was a month ago.

Where is the evidence for that, in fact everything in the media says he is very happy at Sunderland

As to your last point they are so arrogant they cant believe not everyone wants to sign for them

Constant clamour? Hardly:lol:

3 or 4 new threads per day, how would you describe it

So nothing to do with his debut for the Under 21s then?

They are full of shit.

Plus that October thread just happens to coincide with his starring display against Romania for the u21s, the Man Utd match and the talk of a full call up for today's game.

we have no reason to sell as the last time i checked the owner had more than enough cash in his back pocket.

if we are serious about pushing on we simply say he isnt for sale and then spend the money we know we have on strengthening the side even more.

Exactly,thats what ambition means

I did make a point of saying ..personally... and the reason I think 20 m is good business is cos I don't think Jordan is worth that much. With that money you could replace him and have change.
Perhaps the reason the so called buying clubs aren't doing that is cos they rate him higher than I do.

Time will tell. I dismissed it in October when one of their ITK types said it was a done deal, but the evidence is suggesting that this is more than a rumour.
