Why is there no fight ?

There is fight.

The problem is our players look like c*nts because they're up against more skillfull, faster, stronger and cleverer players every week.

When a poor team play a better team they look like they're not trying but it's just because they can't get beat the ball

Wasn't yesterday, or against Stoke, Burnley x3, Swansea and the majority of other games this season.

Compare them to the Liverpool game and you'll see there's no fight.

Maybe when the players here things like:

We will be in a relegation fight (at the start of the season)

The signings we will bring in january will have no impact

This scotish twat is either wanting to be sacked or wanting to be sacked i cant think of any logical explanation for it

Once they cross the line a quote in a press conference will make no difference whatsoever.

I really thought we would out it all out there today and fight for everything. Using my heart instead of my head.

As soon as there is any pressure we just capitulate. This isn't the first time. We just sink deeper and offer fuck all. Players are not given a shit and certainly don't fight for their manager. Clear as day that there is no positive link between the 2.

Totally depressing. All I want is a little bit of tactical nouce from the manager, along with commitment and desire from the players.

Sadly both are lacking.

Moyrs thinks they're all shit. They are struggling to live up to his low expectations.

He does not instill much confidence in the players. Many teams players greater than the sum of their parts - that is the managers job. We just look shot to pieces.

It's nothing to do with fight, its lack of quality and basic defending

Desire and will to out your body on the line comes from a harmonious dressing room and managerial respect.

We have neither.

How do you know? You don't

We just came back from conceding twice against Liverpool. It is clearly there. We started well yesterday too its not like we just let them score from kick off

Can you not just see that they're not good enough? Rodwell hasn't won when he's started for a reason, Larsson isn't good enough and Honeyman is literally 10th choice CM. These players can't compete at this level. It's not a simple case of desire. If you have better players you win football games

It's a combination of both.

Mate we had 2 pens and the off Liverpool to thank for that.

We have absolutely captilated agaisnt shite teams. Getting smashed. Not even in games. Conceding a shit load. Hardly competing.

People are going to the games out of habit, not even the hope of seeing good football or getting a result.

If it was a manager you liked you wouldn't go ahh it was 2 pens and Liverpool were shit I can't fault much you say but we did play well that game

I am not friends with any of them. Liking them has fuck all to do with it. It's evaluating his effectiveness and achievement thus far. Both are well below acceptable levels.

Goal is a goal. We conceded 2 corners that day and one yesterday. For me that is on Moyes and it's simply not good enough, our abysmal set pieces going forward are not good enough but I can't say lack of fight. Just too many players not good enough who are making individual mistakes. You look at Mannone parrying a simple catch around the post from Phillips shot, PVAs shite defending and then O'Shea and Mannone for the second goal. It's hard to compete when this many players aren't good enough

I respect the your view point and I get it (I wanted Poyet out long before he was sacked and didn't see why people defended him) but there's a lot to take in and it's more than commitment. It's about fundamentally not being good enough

.Fair post.

It's both for me. We are looking at poor players and poor judgement from the manager IMO.

I'd understand the argument if it was say after the palace home game but when I look at PVA (for instance) and then the way he'd just give away goals last season I just can't see what is going to change.

Even that palace game I referenced their first goal ffs. Fundamentally not good enough! We at least need a back 4 that is settled and playing together consistently or we won't win games.

What he says to them can though. Obviously players have to take responsibility but a manager can make a player feel and perform above their normal levels. It's what, imo, separates the good and poor managers. Man management is a huge part of football.

By all means get beat but at least look pissed off by it, fight to try and stop it, have some pride

We look like we can't wait to just finish up and get off home

Cunts

You have to look at the Brunt goal yesterday. It was a good strike but why was he in acres of space after making an unmarked run? Nobody chasing him, nobody organised to be picking up these runners. I play in a team that is often outclassed, but when defending out midfield puts in the effort to chase people running through and we try to make sure every opposition player is marked. It does not take much to do that, and then the opposition is forced to go round you or through you.

Players standing stationary in space watching their team let in a goal is not a team fighting. Moyes is failing to motivate or organise. He is not making the best of what he has.
