Why I Quit - Advocaat

An appalling start against shit. He should have been able to find more points.
He'd probably say the same himself. It happens to the best managers at times. Look at chelsea this season.

Weirdly some on this thread think 8 games are somehow a reflection on the blokes ability.

I think he is starting to come across as a bit of a dick. Pardon the pun. Not sure what world he is living in complaining that we can't compete with Man Utd, Man city and Tottenham.

I think he really missed Bert Van Lingen and is using unrealistic expectations as a smokescreen to protect his rep. Our squad is the strongest it has been for a while and has well underperformed IMO.

We spent a good chunk and as much as anybody that had glanced at our financial situation could expect. If Dick was naive enough to expect a pot of gold then more fool him. Pure football does find it easy to spend Ellis' money.

I still like the bloke but what the fuck is his mate on about talking to some fella who knows a bloke who may or may not know a fella who writes a few lines for The Mirror

What he says may be ridiculously accurate and surmise what we mostly know, but name-dropping Spurs, Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea in an interview complaining about spend just makes him look like an idiot.

Anyone thinking the side which drew with west ham wasnt able to get over zero points from those three games need a word with themselves.
