Why do you want to sack Tony and not Speakman?

My little outburst on wednesday night was partially alcohol fouled & frustration

still think he’s the right man but results & performances need to change quickly

Because Speakman won’t be sacked
He won’t but I can see him being poached as the whole football world will know of our budget restrictions. He’s done an excellent job shipping out the shit he inherited and replacing with a decent upper mid table squad for next to nowt. Both his and Tones hands are tied by KLD/JS. I’d imagine KLDs hands are tied by his mam and dads auld marras anarl?
Either way I think it’ll be Tone and at least two more head coaches that pay the price before hands are untied and budget restrictions lifted…………or safc romp to unparalleled glory on the cheap………..or KS gets a better offer.

Its gonna be a while before we know.

This whole place is fuelled by alcohol and frustration marra.

He's poor tactically and unwilling to adapt.

It really is that simple.
I just can't understand this criticism. We have changed from how we played last season. Its just that it doesn't look like it's change for the better.

It shouldn't be enough reason to not sack people but I hate the manager merry go round .
TM has been a massive surprise
We've had too many who on paper would see us steadily improve and it never worked .

Got to ask the question who changed it Mowbray or the coaching staff whose ever responsible wants a good rollicking

I like Mowbray. He would love to sign the quality we need. Maybe point your fingers at the owners or model if you think we should be top 6. Our model is going to involve time and patience with the young group of players we have.

So what isn't true?

The majority have turned so we will sack Mowbray.

Speakman however gets very little comment for the lop sided squad he has assembled.
Only here the majority have turned not your every game to game fan

there no chanting of we want Mowbray out at the matches

when that happens they’ll pull the trigger

Expectations change very quickly. Think some expect us in the top 2. The team is crying out for some quality and that’s not Mowbrays fault. The board will not spend any decent money so we buy raw young talent. With that you get inconsistent performances. Sacking Mowbray will change nothing. Think a few on here need to remember the club is in a far better position and show some patience with the model or point the finger at who signs the players

Because speakman is doing his job and providing players, within his budget constraints, that we all say, when we see them play have potential and skill, it’s up to mogga to make a team out of them, and atm his stubbornness is meaning the team just isn’t performing to the levels we know it can.

We have too many players who play the same position, what might loosely be described as "attacking midfielders", the club want rid of Pritchard, Dack was his replacement. Young players, however good, are potential, of those signed this summer Bellingham has done well but has fallen short in a lot of games recently. Nobody is comfortable as a holding midfielder, all of the midfielders are guilty of lazy giveaways and we have been punished a few times.

A lot has been made of Batth. He was very good for us last season but one our major flaws was still there when he played - the inability to defend corners or set pieces around the box.

There is nothing more to say about the strikers really. The new amazing late deals for forwards have singularly failed. Mowbray has tried them all but then is criticised for chopping and changing - we are meant to be aiming for promotion, he can't use league games as experiments. We needed a straight replacement for Stewart and at least one other hungry striker e.g. Broadhead as soon as Stewart was injured last season. The failure to act then toldme that promotion last season wasn't what the owners really wanted.

We haven't seen anything of Pembele, Seelt and Triantis have played next to nothing but don't look like they will command regular starts. Then we have the injured Cirkin and Alese.

There are flaws in Mowbray who I often think uses subs just to see if they somehow work, it sort of did yesterday, but it is effectively like for like because even if he had a plan B the tools aren't there now, when he needs them. He talks too much at times but that is how he is. He has also made a lot of public fuss about not being able to communicate directly with foreign players, it's been in our game for decades now, live with it or learn a language yourself Tony.

After the surprise we were last season, we are less of a surprise this season so it is harder, especially without the top scorers from last season.

If we change the manager they will have the same frustrations with the squad. The same frustrations that Neil had too. For every Speakman success there are more who aren't but that is like all clubs. The great "model" is too long term for us fans, it needs to be adaptable and react to problems and massive opportunities which last season was - a January nudge could have been all the difference.

We have all enjoyed more games than not in the past 24months, and have hit the buffers a bit now. The players aren't there for radical change. One week Ba"can't be dropped" the next he is "dogshit", the manager and his team have to deal with this in reality not just fantasy easy solutions. Many would have picked the side we fielded yesterday but a lot comes down to tge players seizing the day and it didn't happen so Pritchard and Roberts caje on thibgs and did alter things, yet both are regularly dismissed on here.

I think potentially yes there are 10 better squads with fit for purpose forward and midfield players .

Really? That list must include teams we've not played against. Outside of the top four, I can't think of anyone who've had me envious of their options, nor can I remember too many standout midfield or striking performances.

I'm not buying that anyone genuinely thinks the likes of Norwich, Watford or Preston have better squads than us currently.

We haven’t got a forward who has actually scored a goal or one who can play In that position effectively at this point . We haven’t any central midfield cover . We have 3/4 really good players at this level but we haven’t a strong squad .
