why do some people on here laugh off or shoot down the posters who are worried about our paper thin

Eh?? Buisness as usual?? Our preferred manager nicked by England??

We just signed David Moyse..he has the third most games managed in the premier league behind SAF and Arsene Wenger...but I guess now he's a retard and doesn't know how to run a pre-season?
Calm down dear

Remind me how last year's pre season went down, perhaps the worst in living memory

We had a world class manager in Dick Advocaat iirc

If you don't buy enough players, don't replace loan signings, have to rely on more loan signings and gamble on players like Rodwell and Lens then the result is the same

Sauce: Last season and many others

Sauce you say?

Every pre-season it's now a race to be the first to proclaim the sky is falling in.

This year more than others we've got mitigating circumstances imho. Some seem to enjoy being in a perpetual panic, when really it's not worth worrying about until the day the window closes.

Yes, we need players. Everybody knows that, so there's no need to spoil the experience of the board for others by treating every setback like the end of the world and wailing constantly like a demented reality tv drama queen.

you will offend a few with this post.. as for transfers maybe you could inform me as well its almost midnight and well I can't be arsed to google it, but in the Murray Era were our transfers as so dawn out as they are today? because I know during Quinn's time as chairman they always seem to get done quickly

Like when Keano signed 6 players on deadline day?

Problem is a lot of posters on here see everything through red and white blinkers and are unable to see things even when it's staring them right in the face. There's a group of posters on here who jump on any negative post that's made and they simply cannot grasp that everything is not rosy in the house.

Mentioned a few times, but transfer windows bring out the very worst in some Sunderland supporters. That blood thirsty for new players, they lose track of any common sense, perspective or reality of what's going on. Timing of allardyce to England, has really fucked us up here, but many just seem to ignore that.

True but it's the same posters who get proved wrang time & again

Bout how we're doomed etc

That what pisses people off

We've got 3 weeks before the window closes then is the time to panic if we haven't bought anyone not now

I haven't read a single post where people think everything is rosy, or that we don't need to sign any players. Everyone knows it isn't and we do.

Reasonable concerns mixed in with manufactured drama from the usual suspects. Pre-season norm innit, no proper matches, no adrenaline.... some people suffer.

this might be daft but if we sign a player at the back end of the month do we have to pay him for that month ? if so the first of the month (tomorrow) would seem the best time to buy

We've currently got 9 fit senior players at the club, the first XI is massively weaker than the one that ended the season, people are well within their rights to voice their concerns without the uber posters on here calling them "bedwetters", "negative" etc. We need players in now, in 3 weeks time it's Boro at home, a game we should be targeting as a win, yet as it stands you would have to make Boro big favourites for the game.
