why do some people on here laugh off or shoot down the posters who are worried about our paper thin

Am amazed mate, some people literally will attack anyone who doesn't post content that is 100% positive.

Real aggression as well. Proper tears. Real anger that anyone would dare critique the way club is operating.
Unlike you and your mate there, jumping on anyone and anything that doesn't want to wallow in self pity and misery about anything and everything SAFC? You won't find a single SAFC fan that thinks everything is hunky dory and we don't need to sign players, but some would rather be grown up about it and see what happens, before all the toys come out the pram. I'm hopeful we'll see signings soon, if it's this time next week and nowts happened I'll have concerns and share them. No pre conceived hissy fit, just so I get my have a moan fix constantly.

I do try.

I actually enjoy a mass debate but too often on here it descends into snide comments like that.

Its probably because I'm simply too clever for most on here.

Tidied.

On topic, it's the same every pre season on here. Some will be overly pessimistic, some will raise valid concerns others will shout down everything considered negative in a zealot type fashion.

I don't see many shouting down anything and everything negative. We need players in, we all know that, just some can see why this has been held up a bit. The biggest myth going amongst our fans, is that short doesn't spend money. We were 6th highest spenders spenders iirc last season and about 8th highest spenders the last 10 years. Spent on average to shit in general, so piss and moan about that and no one can argue.

If there was 4 weeks or so before the season starts then fine, but two weeks to go and no one signed must be slightly concerning for the most blinkered happy clapper?

If Moyes has spent a week assessing the squad and deciding exactly what reinforcements he needs, and if decent signings start coming in soon, it's still conceivable that we could have a good start to the season. Do you think we're not planning to make any signings?

feel if we got mvila back in it would settle a few nerves , 4 or 5 good additions and we will be ok

I'm well aware of what Ellis has spent and I am very grateful to him, also a big supporter of his. However, should I start a thread over concerns of the squad and valid points over the lack of transfer at this point the following will be said "pissy pants" "bed wetter" "school tomorrow" "wait and see what happens, eh" etc. Some will also go off on a tangent and speak about the club cant win and reference Jack Rodwell.

Some are unable to see fans speak about their club without blinkers, It doesn't mean they're any less of a supporter, just that they're able to form a balanced judgment without insisting everything is rosy.

well whats the point of posting the same shit everyday on here

its not like we can do anything about and the club doesnt take advice from the fans...so why endlessly piss and moan about it

if you are frustrated about the lack of signings...keep it to yourself and have a little cry before you got bed at night and save us the tedium of having to read the same shit by the same people every f***ing day

or better still keep it to one thread..that way we dont have 20 all saying the same thing

It is surely valid however to suggest that yes the squad is thin but we are surely working to get signings in? A lot of the concerns being raised imply that they think the club's going to try and manage on what we have

If Sam was still here obviously we'd all want to know what on earth was going on.

But anyone who isn't daft can see exactly what has happened.

The club couldn't realistically do anything whilst the FA put them in limbo. As soon as that was over they acted decisively to appoint Moyes.

He has been left with a pretty decent team with good morale who have had a good pre season and no serious injuries.

He needs a couple of players in urgently (in the next 2 weeks) and about 4 more over the next month.

People constantly posting that the club or Moyes are doing anything wrong at this point basically come across as moaning ninnies rather than the wise realists they see themselves as, as they are ignoring why we are doing our business late.

the one thing I dont understand..some people on here seem to have a real dislike for the club and the way its run

why dont they actually have the strength of their convictions and do something about it

form a protest group, get off your arse and actively try to do something

sitting and whining on a notice board will never make anything change.

I haven't seen those implying were not trying to sign anyone but that seems daft. As it stands now, I'd assume anyone looking at it from a balanced stand point would be nervous regardless of time left.

It could be amazing next week after 5 top class signings but its pointless speculating on that.

Circumstances have worked against us, through nee ones fault imo. The club have handled the situation very well and I'm certain signings will follow.

Relax
