Why Can't 80% Of Season Ticket Holders Be A***d To Go Today?

We have had 6 or 7 away games in the last month, that's alot of money for some people.

I was at sheff wed during the week but I'm not bothering today. It was tiring and just pissed me off
Exactly this.

QPR was great.

Rotherham was a mixture of shit on the field mixed with shit in the stands.

Sheff Wed was nothing as LJ described in his interview.

Completely baffled as to how he turns it around - today will neither be the nail in his coffin nor the day it turns around even with a win so I'd prefer to use my Saturday differently.

Unless we lose every game up to Xmas he's going nowhere. Speakman's bagman

Not a st holder but wouldn't have gone regardless. Last few times I've been to the match I've realised what a chuff on it is time wise and effort wise when there's other priorities. It's not the £ cost but the time for me, although it might ease when the kids are a bit older.

Season ticket holders should have free attendance for matches like this and kids should be free too. There'd be a decent attendance with all of the ground open and they'd make at least as much revenue through food & drink sales, merchandise etc as they would from the number of tickets sold for today. The cup had lost its magic so clubs and the FA need to much more proactive to get crowds in.

Why would the away team agree to that? Home team get more support and they get no gate receipts.

For whatever reason our fans can't be arsed with the cups, and I include myself in that.

Since I got a season ticket 16 odd years ago I’ve done 99% of “extra games” whether they be FA Cup, League Cup, Pizza Trophy and friendlies.

I would avoid making any plans at all when Sunderland were at home, missing out on quite a few things/events in the process.

Since coming out of lockdown and us getting used to not going at all (still watching streams at home) I’m reluctant to go to any of these additional games. Don’t get me wrong, I go to every single home league game and if I’m free for the others I’ll go - but I no longer make it the be all and end all to be at these games. If there’s something else going on relatively interesting I’ll choose that instead.

There can be some agreement where the away team get a percentage of all sales. Everyone would make more money than the current situation.
