Why Can't 80% Of Season Ticket Holders Be A***d To Go Today?

I was hoping we'd be away as had a surprise birthday meal planned for a couple of months, which I wouldn't get back in time for if I was to go sadly.

I've been to my fair share. Gillingham was absymal couple of year ago. People just don't get up for the early rounds of the cup anymore sadly.

Same here. Had a shit week at work and just can't be bothered. Will upset the self righteous on the smb, but I will get over it.
Really pleased I haven’t cause I’ve watched Man City which I wouldn’t have been able to and they’ve been excellent. About to make a coffee and enjoy the 2nd half.

Find them a bit boring me like, they are great but any game as one sided as this is a bit dull. Give me a L1 shitfest over it any day.

We won't be winning any major cups, it's embarrassing playing this early in the FA Cup, it's fucking Mansfield in the first fucking round is why I'm not going.

Our team seen to have trying their hardest so we have to put up with watching them try this again next fucking year as well

Should factor in these games to season card costs imo, make each game a fiver or a tenner or something for the first few rounds. Unsure if many would go even if it was free though.

You could open the gates up today and let everyone in for free and the crowd still wouldn't break 20k.

Didn’t we get beat off these last season or the one before?

The first few rounds are shite and I’ve got no intention of paying to go to it, when I have other stuff on to think about.

Loads of that self righteous attitude going about on the socials, for fellas who still live at their mars.

Some people prioritise the matches and what they spend there money on.

Id imagine there’ll be season tickets holders from the big clubs miss champions league matches
Wasn’t it Man City who made some sort of rule that if you had a season ticket you had to buy champions league tickets as well?

For a club that draws 30K for league games to drop down to drop below 6K for 1st team cup match is f***ing ridiculous. In the old days I've seen our crowds recorded as 50-60K one day an below 5K the next and that would been purely down to the poverty of our area. Today's crowd is purely down to people thinking its below them to watch their team in the early round of the cups. If you can afford it you should be there.

This should not be viewed as community service for committing a crime!

People are under no obligation to go to a football match if they don’t fancy it. End of story.
