Why broken record Sam Allardyce is fooling no one... least of all West Ham fans

of course it's their aim, as it should be that of every club in the league on at least some level

but as shown in the quote from Sullivan they're also realistic enough to know it;s unlikely

the stadium will likely push us on but not to City and Chelsea levels. Unless of course the much rumoured/denied./rumoured again takeover after we move happens

That's their ambition. It's not for me to decide if it's delusional or not. They won't be the only club that thinks like that either.

I'm pretty certain that's the owners aim. He's just trying to keep a lid on your dreams for a couple of years. Whether or not it materialises is another thing, but you'll have an amazing infrastructure in place for very little outlay. That leaves you plenty of readies to spend on players.

Er I think they will absolutely be the only newly promoted club ever to actually think they can catch the top 4 of the Prem in 5 years without a billionaire splashing cash, yes.

I'm pretty sure even Ashley (when the Mags came up from the Champo in 2009) didn't suggest that Champions League in 5 years was a realistic aim.
To actually believe you can come up from the Champo and catch United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal in 5 years without spending hundreds of millions (and whilst playing 'The West Ham Way' to boot) is absolutely delusional.

Liverpool and Spurs started from a much higher baseline, have a much higher income and have spent hundreds of million already and (apart from one year where Liverpool got dragged to second by one of the too three forwards in the entire world) have failed to break into the top 4

The last time West Ham managed top four was thirty years ago and it's a hell of a lot harder now...

Delusional. The go to word for every Sunderland fan faced with an ambitious team.

as I said watching that dross week in week out left me feeling worse than ever have about going to games, serious effort needed not to just stay in the pub some weeks, never felt like that before or since (although since not very long an things have gone well lol)

when things are going well you can get past it, but when as they will at all clubs you go through a sticky patch the crap football being played just emphasises it

Is that why your 'fans' booed because you won a match that took you to 11th place in the league? Because you didn't think that was "going well"? f***ing hell.

it could but with 14 points on the board already it would take a run so bad, well as bad as the last 23 games under Allardyce to send us down

With Carroll, Ogbonna, Song and Valencia all coming back into the squad this weekend (and we were doing well anyway) 'd be frankly stunned to see us even remotely near the bottom of the table

You won't and you can thank Sam for that.

The West Ham way :lol::lol::lol::lol:

The behaviour of delusional arseholes.

It wouldn't be so bad if they'd had the success of Man U under Fergie or Liverpool in the 70's and 80's, but it's West Ham for fuck sake. I'm almost 50 years old and all they've ever been in my lifetime is a bit-part player in the top two divisions. I can never ever remember watching them and thinking 'These are the entertainers'. They have to some of the most deranged fans I've ever come across.

Says a lot about you as a fan if you call anyone that hopes for some good football and ambition from their club ''DELUSIONAL'

You're deluded to not think that is a normal thing to want

Still the complete antipathy about at least trying to play a good style and a set of fans whose highest dreams are of 12th will be a perfect for for Sam

Enjoy

No, booing a winning team because your fans collectively think you have a God given right to be seen as some sort of footballing mecca, when in fact you're just a mid size club that's done the square root of fuck all is delusional.

I posted earlier that I've had loads of chew on twitter with some West Ham fans who hate Allerdyce. They reckon they have only spent 4 years out of the last 24 outside the top flight? I can't be arsed to verify this.
Out of the last 24 seasons we can't have spent that long out of the top flight either

We all want to see great football. Are you thick? It's just many of your fans seem to think it's a right.

THE WEST HAM WAY! :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Forty odd years and I'm still waiting to see it!

I didn't want him as Manager but will support the team regardless! Can't disagree with any of that what was written.
I am not as excited about BSA & well aware of some of the terrible results at West Ham but having said that I will support the lads even if I am moaning and groaning

You never saw a greenwood lyall or redknapp side play attacking football on the floor?

That's all it is. That's all we want, the media over hype it as some defined style but it's not. That's all we want

I think it was th did a good job but he had served his purpose at West Ham and now he has you established in the Prem you can try and play a more enjoyable style of football which you won't get under him. It reminds me when Southampton sacked Atkins and replaced him with Pochettino and the football improved.

I think you'll get top 10 myself.

Yep, so do we all. But guess what? In my lifetime there have only been 3 or 4 teams each season which play like this, and West Ham has never been one of them. It's not the media either, I've heard countless of your delusional fans spurting that shite on radio.
