Why are we so hated in League 1

After the shit we have had to put up with over the years, why do these clubs, managers and their fans seem to detest us so much. The way Robinson and Barton have gone on making out that we are a bunch of arseholes that have referees in our pockets and are cheating our way out of the league. Surely its the opposite. I hope to fuck we get out of this league this time and leave these dickheads in our rear view mirror.
Robinson showed more fight yesterday than he ever did playing for us.

Big boned these days.

So that's a reason to be disrespectful ?
We are in this league because we were shit in the PL and even worse in the Championship.
What gives our fans the right to diss a league we deserve to be in through the appalling mismanagement of our club ?
I have maximum respect for the fans of the likes of Accrington, Fleetwood and Rochdale who turn up every week when bigger clubs aren't too far away.
True fans who love their clubs and don't expect anything in return in terms of trophies, Wembley Europe etc.
I would never lower myself to disrespect them.
The league is tin pot.
Not the fans of other clubs, but the officiating is absolutely dreadful, and this in turn makes play acting/cheating/time wasting on another level to anything I've seen before.
The clubs and fans are great. Two or three managers are small time dick heads.
I really enjoyed that first season in league 1.
There’s a lot of aggro and moaning at every league 1 match. I don’t think other teams hate us, I do believe they raise their game when they play us however.
That first season, playing infront of 30k at one of the biggest stadiums in the uk. It would be surprising if they didn't raise their game compared to turning out away at Fleetwood the week before.

A horrendous fall from the top table, but never really looking like administration. A huge fan base, great history and 'big club' setup. There has always been hope, underpinned by potential.

Four trips to Wembley in 7 years

Unbeaten by your rivals in 10 years including a six in a row.

There are plenty of clubs at this level whose very existence is under threat season after season, our troubles don't compare.

Exactly. Our lowest point is being relegated to the third tier. We're in the same league as teams who have been floating around in non league and League Two for quite a while and as you say, some who have been close to going out of existence. One team in our league last year did exactly that.

Woe is us.

Its just those 2.
Most managers and fans have been excellent imo like.
Bristol rovers away were probably my favourite and friendliest in many a year, Wycombe putting on an outside marquee for us the first season, Plymouth fans giving me cans on the train, they've all been sound .
Barton is a prick wherever he is and it appears that Robinson a bit of a drama queen who likes to deflect on his own failings (of getting his team to foul consistently and play act).
We're a huge scalp in this league and playing us is a game that most fans would have looked forward to most, so they are going to give it large, just like we would if we ever get back to the prem and beat man City.
ive enjoyed going to aways in this league more than anything the premier league has to offer.
proper fans to have a bit crack on with, not sky fans. as much as i want us in the top tier i'd miss going to proper grounds. at least the championship has still got some clubs with a bit soul left.

Because we are a big club in comparison to every team down here, they are envious of us.
That’s my guess anyway.

This.

Bellends like Barton and Robinson know they will never get the chance to manage us, so they slag us off to boost their own ego.

Then when we never come knocking they can say it’s because of comments they have made and not the true fact which is that they are nowhere near good enough.
I wouldn't have thought calling every other club "tin-pot" and "shithouses" assists in a PR campaign.

This doesn’t help like especially when accompanied by words like “smash” etc

Probably the same way Man Utd are in the Premier League - more fans, resources than others etc.
Leeds weren't liked either (mind they aren't liked anywhere)

This. The Championship still has plenty of 'proper' clubs - Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United (soon), Stoke, Birmingham, Blackburn etc. Always get plenty of away tickets as well.
