Why are we so hated in League 1

Post 90 in THIS thread.
The attitude shown by the vast majority of people in this thread alone is all the evidence you need to show why opposing fans have a dislike for your club.

Downright disrespectful, and then having the audacity to state things like 'we dont have a billy bollocks attitude'.
I've said it before - you lot slate your neighbours for being deluded and entitled, yet dont seem to realise the condescending attitude shown to fans /managers of clubs that are actually playing at your level (and in some cases, above).

Thank you for your honesty, that unfortunately that makes your observations both non valid and irrelevant to me.
That's fine.
I can't help supporting such a tinpot outfit.

Mind you, i suppose that would count for just about anyone who supports a club that isn't sunderland

Because "the shit we have had to put up with" has been struggling in the Premier League, whilst these clubs have been struggling in the lower leagues?

I can see their view point, your team works hard to get a result and it's all undone in a moment of class by our highly paid (by League One standards) player(s).

I'd rather be loathed than pitied.
Who wants to be everyones 2nd favourite team anyway ;)
We are Sunderland. We were there when the game was being built for the world to enjoy.
Proud of our history, excited (at last) about our future.
When they wrap it all up and write the history of football your Oxfords and Bristol Roves, Robinson's and Barton's won't even be a footnote to the footnotes.

After the shit we have had to put up with over the years, why do these clubs, managers and their fans seem to detest us so much. The way Robinson and Barton have gone on making out that we are a bunch of arseholes that have referees in our pockets and are cheating our way out of the league. Surely its the opposite. I hope to fuck we get out of this league this time and leave these dickheads in our rear view mirror.
Its just those 2.
Most managers and fans have been excellent imo like.
Bristol rovers away were probably my favourite and friendliest in many a year, Wycombe putting on an outside marquee for us the first season, Plymouth fans giving me cans on the train, they've all been sound .
Barton is a prick wherever he is and it appears that Robinson a bit of a drama queen who likes to deflect on his own failings (of getting his team to foul consistently and play act).
We're a huge scalp in this league and playing us is a game that most fans would have looked forward to most, so they are going to give it large, just like we would if we ever get back to the prem and beat man City.

I would be inclined to agree with you. Not being a smart arse or difficult, it's therefore just natural that a supporter of another club will have pre judgemental prejudices.

'The shit we have had to put up with over the years' isn't as bad as just about anyone else in this league man

A horrendous fall from the top table, but never really looking like administration. A huge fan base, great history and 'big club' setup. There has always been hope, underpinned by potential.

Four trips to Wembley in 7 years

Unbeaten by your rivals in 10 years including a six in a row.

There are plenty of clubs at this level whose very existence is under threat season after season, our troubles don't compare.
