How about Henderson -> Man City for Johnson, SWP and Bridge?
would settle for that.

i hope if it does happen we get cash and a player hoyed in.

man utd...possibly welbeck, evans and £7 million?

man city johnson and £10 million

chelsea....sturridge and £15 million

something like that anyway

Many people mention Meyler, but he plays a different game and is there more to stop play than keep it going like Henderson, can't see for the life of me how he's a better prospect either

Why can't we just keep Henderson ffs.

I think thats a bit harsh on Meyler, I was very impressed with his awareness and range of passing last year. As billythefish says, he just needed to improve his consistancy.

If he returns the same player we have potentially a top class centre midfield.

Totally different type of player to Henderson. Much more of a defensive midfielder than Jordan who is a box to box type.

It was his eye for a through ball and ability to keep possession and move the ball quickly which most impressed me. Along with good positional sense he is very reminiscent of how Henderson is now playing he just needs to be nurtured and allowed to develop without being in the limelight too quick as I don't believe he has the same temperament as Jordan. Potential is very much there though.

Not the same lad I saw last year. I had the preconception of him as well.

Theres a lot more to the lad than just a defensive midfielder.

Agree I think they're very similar.

Jordan has a few more tricksand meylers much stronger but other than that not much between them. If the two can develop an understanding between them we could be in for a very exciting couple of seasons.

Top clas centre midfield?

Oh come on. We're basing this judgement on him on about 10 games, where even a few posters say he's got to up his consistency. Meyler done well and is a prospect, but most people were impressed by how he managed a couple of older pros and as a big athletic lad whose game involves getting stuck in he's bound to manage it now and again.

Before making such judgements I really think we should see more of him, to see more of his strengths and weaknesses, rather than go off a few games where we were in good form and so not looking for them as much.

Did you miss the word 'potentially'? He looked a cracking player last season, not just a prospect, he was excellent against the likes of Man City and showed a lot more than just being athletic.

Maybe some of the good form we were in when he played was down to him?

Krancjar and/or N'zog would be class.

I reckon O'Hara would be a decent shout, especially if we sell in Jan, as Meyler still wont be fully fit, so O'Hara (on the cheap?) would provide good cover for Catts/Riveros.

If it were a swap deal, i agree with AJ from City or of course Nedum. I'd love Welbeck from United and maybe Obertan?, dunno if he'd leave.

personally i would want an experienced premier league ,attacking midfielder , who scores goals and I think Clint Dempsey from Fulham would be the right man
